Halloween Horror

Mike got out from under the bed and went over to his babies. Mike kissed each one on the head, and walked out the door. He had no idea where he was going but he couldn't be there.

When Alex awoke Mike wasn't there. He figured he was still under the bed so he left him alone.

The babies knew something wasn't right, so they cried, they were going to cry until they seen 'momma'

Alex picked up his two children and sat down on the couch.
"S'okay babies." He cooed.

They looked for Momma, he wasn't there, they cried louder.

"Mikey, the babies want you. Can you come out?" Alex called under the bed.

Silence was all that met Alex when he called for Mike, and they babies were still wanting momma.

Alex knelt down and peeked under the bed. Nothing but dust bunnies.

The babies were throwing a fit, they knew something was off.

Alex began to panic. He picked up his cell phone and dialed Mike's number.

Mike glanced as his phone, sighed and decided against answering. Mike did get up and turned back though, heading home.

No answer. Alex paced back and forth. His nightmare was coming true. Mike had left him.

Mike was almost home, he was tired but he needed time to think. He couldn't leave Alex and his babies.

Alex sat down on the bed, one child in each arm. They were both still bawling.
A single tear fell down his cheek.

Mike walked though the door and sat his phone on the table. "Im home..." He whispered to no one in particular.

"Mikey!" Alex exclaimed, the only thing on his mind, the six foot, two hundred pound, blue eyed man in the doorway.
He bounded over to him and gave him a hug, forgetting the previous day's events.

Mike shuddered and wanted to pull away. Mike had not forgotten, he thought more and more and it hurt. "Hi."

Alex pulled back and looked down at his feet, ashamed.
"I'm sorry." He murmured.

"The hell are you sorry for." Mike asked lamely, moving past Alex and laying on the bed.

Alex turned away, hiding the hurt in his eyes.
"Everything." He whispered, mostly to himself

"Look, this is not going to work out." Mike started, he didn't mean he was leaving Alex but he did need to have a talk, get it out for else things would never be the same.

Alex nodded slowly, biting his lip. He should've known this was coming. He fucked up and if Mike left it was because of him.

Mike put the babies in there small play pen, sat back on the bed, and motioned for Alex to join him. "You knew this was coming baby." Mike said, as hand softly against his injured cheek.

"Y-you're leaving." Alex nodded, not wanting to take in the meaning of those two little words. His breathing got heavy.

Mike's furrowed his eyes brows. "I didn't say that Alex." Mike sighed and shook his head.
