Ruby stood at the door to her sons bedroom and smiled as she watched him sleep. He was so cute when he was like that. She slowly walked over to his tiny bed. "Mattie..." she called out gently in a sing song voice.

Ruby nodded slowly. She placed her hand on his forehead, he was warm, but not hot, not yet. "Alright honey, momma's gonna see if she can take care of you at home for now," she said. "But if anything gets any worse or anything else starts to bother you, you let me or daddy know okay?"

Ruby smiled and laid Matt back down in the bed. "I'll be right back honey," she said. "I'm gonna go get you something that might help loosen you up so your chest doesn't hurt," she figured he just had mucus building in his chest again, he did get sick quite often this time of year.
