King Of My Heart, Holder Of My Love

"Nah, but sometimes I like to think so." He had hit Zac, that dropped him out of the running forever.
"C'mon, You have people to talk to and a house to see."

"Alright, give me the house tour then." He smiled.

Quincy picked him up, and showed him the first living room and the kitchen on the first floor. He went up the new stairs to a whole other floor. He showed Zac ten rooms for the kids and another living room. He went back down and showed him the largest room, his and Zacs room, perfectly made for them. He left one thing out but he would show him that later. He went outside and showed him the small play equipment for a child maybe six years old. A large pool beside the home, and then took him back to the party.

"This is great babe." He kissed his cheek as they went back into the party.

Quincy mingled a bit, found Jude and pecked his cheek.
"Look, imma act like I used to and be all distant, you go love momma and after the party ill come and get you and your staying here with us okay? But right now PRETEND I dont like you okay?"

"Otay dady." He nodded and ran off, jumping on his mother. "Mwomma!"
"Hi baby!" Zac beamed, kissing his nose. "You're here!"
"Yeah! Happy biwfday!!!"

Quincy pretended to glare at the child from across the room, grumbling to himself.

Zac sighed at his lover but he would play with the child while he could. He played around with his son all day.

They cut the cake and gave Zac his gifts, hanging around all day until they had to go home at around midnight.

Zac sighed when Rick and Kevin began taking Jude home. He would miss his baby...

Quincy let them walk out the door, trusting Rick would remember he had to sneak Jude back in the house and into his room while everyone else left.

And Rick did. He took Jude out to the side of the house and watched through a window, waiting until Zac was distracted before sneaking Jude back in and up to his room.

Quincy went back after every one was gone and made sure he was there. He grinned and kissed Ricks cheek.
"Thank you Rick."

"Welcome Quincy." He nodded with a smile. "I'm gonna miss the twerp but this is worth it."

Quincy nodded, letting him out and putting Jude on the bed.

Zac was downstairs on the couch, small frown on his face. What right did he have to be upset? Quincy had just rebuilt their home, made it even more amazing, thrown him the best party ever, been so sweet all day...so what was wrong? What could he possibly want?
He wanted Jude...

Quincy leaned against the door, his face drawn in a hurt frown.
After all this? It was not good enough? He knew Zac well enough to know what was bothering and he was going to fix that but still, I stung a little bit. He had rebuilt this whole house, he had made this big party...He had only gotten fourteen hours of sleep to do this...
He had bonded with a child that hurt his heart...
It was not enough.

Zac was happy. Just watching Jude leave had stung. He hated that someone else was raising his child. But overall this had been the best birthday of his life... well death. Whatever.

Quincy took his time, watching Zac. It would make this all the more special after it stung him a little bit.

Zac sighed and looked around the new house with a small smile. He truly did love it. But no matter how hard he tried, the damn gnawing feeling wouldn't go away.

"Zac c'mon, I think you have birthday sex to catch up on." Quincy winked at him, giving a smirk.

"Yes, yes I do." Zac grinned, pecking his fiance's cheek.

"Oh fuck! I forgot to show you something. Sorry, anyways its beside our room." Quincy pulled Zac to their room, concealing the wooden door hanger he had made Jude make behind his back.
"This room....Zac this room is...."
Quincy paused, neatly hanging the thing on the nail in the door.
'Jude's room.' it read.

Zac blinked a few times.
"You.... you're serious?" His eyes were wide. He slowly opened the door where he saw Jude smiling at him on the bed. "Oh my god!" He jumped up and hugged Quincy around the neck.

Quincy grinned, wrapping Zac up in his strong arms and kissing the top of his head.
"Happy birthday Zac."
He nodded to Jude, letting him know he could come join the hug if he wanted.
