Chris hated it... hated going back to what he'd been before he met Dustin. He found himself going back to the day he and Dustin met a lot. Not their real first meeting when they hated each other but when Dustin had helped Chris out, taken him in.
He was so sweet. What had he done to deserve this?

Mike arranged a funeral, set it up for next week. He had Dustins kids making sure their mother was taken care of, Kelton spent a lot of time with him now days, not wanting him to be lonely like he had so many years ago...

Chris loved being closer to Kelton. He just wished Dustin didn't have to die for this to happen.

Kelton said nothing, taking the plate and sitting it at the head of the table where his father always sat. It was sad...no one dared sit in that chair.
Dustin was the last one to sit in it.

Chris finished making plates for everyone. By everyone he meant himself, Kelton, Cade, Lance, Riley, Devin and Lane. They'd been staying here since Dustin died...
He sat them around the table then called out to everyone that the food was finished. He sat to the right of the empty chair which was where his husband always sat...

"Thats not his name." Chris spoke up. It was possibly the loudest he'd been sicne Dustin died.
Dustin wasn't there to make Lane be good so he had to do as much as he could.
