"I know, its just...This day meant so much...Daddy is here for it....He wont be here long and I was so proud he was here...And they ruin it." Dewayne huffed lightly. "I bet you didnt have this much trouble marrying momma."

"No youre right..." But marrying Lane had been a different story

And Dewayne knew all about that, he had seen it, His mother and father had been there, he had to be there too.

Alex thought back and realized just how far things had come. Dustin had ruined one of the most important days in his life, he was his worst enemy and now... he was a very close friend, the father of two of his children.

Dewayne chuckled at the look on his face.
"You and daddy have come a long way..."

"A very long way.. damn." He shook his head with a chuckle. He'd spit on Dustin's grave. And now he would mourn by it when he was gone for good...

Dewayne smiled at him, shaking his head.
"Yeah, I saw some of the fights you two had, usually before you came I was with momma but I had those days with daddy, he liked pissing you off for sure."

"I know. I was the same." He chuckled. "I have no clue how he went from the person I hated the most to the father of my children."

"Yeah, And Daddy loves you...."
His heard his father begging Devin about his wedding.

"I love him too." Alex nodded. "A lot." Right behind Mike and the kids.

"Yeah he....He looks out for you alot now days, you know...I have gotten whippings because of saying something wrong about you and him having already told me not to, and Devin and him were having it out a while ago over you..." He laughed lightly. "Imma miss him..."

"I'm gonna miss him too... wait what were he and Devin arguing about?" He frowned lightly.

"Devin's wedding..." Dewayne smiled, "Devin is scared Lane still loves you...Doesnt want you at the wedding...You know daddy had something to say about that...Then something to say about whooping Lanes ass if he ever hurt him.."

"Oh..." Alex nodded slowly. It hurt a little but he should have expected that.

Dewayne sighed, wrapping an arm around the other man.
"He loves you....He loves Lane too...He is just scared."

"I guess I understand, I'd be the same way." He nodded

"But you know daddy got you, He made Devin promise to invite you...his wants you to walk him down the isle..."

Alex smiled softly.
"Your dad is really somethin kid."

"Dont I know it? He is something terrible," Dewayne chuckled lightly.

Alex laughed and nodded.
"Sometimes yeah."

"You need to come over more...spend a little time with him before...you know. Dont let mom Stop you...Daddy is going away for good and he loves you.."

"Alright... I sure will try and do that." He nodded.

Dewayne nodded, patting his back.
"Your not that bad Papa....I would be friends if you didnt hate me so damn much."
It really wasnt fair...He hadnt done anything wrong...
"Anyways, get Kev and we will take him out, you two can with beside me if Rick is upsetting him."

"I dont hate you kid..." He sighed. "You've grown on me..."

Dewayne smiled softly,
"You know how long I have wanted to hate you? I mean...I grew up without my momma because of you but...I could never hate you, you made him happy and your a good daddy to my brothers...your good to all of them..."
