Cowgirls Don't Cry.

Rick grinned down at Mike, patting his hair and chuckling.

Mike whined when Dustin poked his head out enough to snap at him.
He got in place in his pew.
Dustin was more harsh then he needed to be.

Rick smiled softly at Mike from his spot as he waited for it to start

Minutes later music began to hum that tune of 'here comes the bride'
Lane sat in the back of the pews, waiting to see his lover.
First the flower boy was out, he had gotten Jayden and Austin to do it together.
Then the brides maids.
Lane smiled at his lover, just waiting. He had something to do...

Devin smiled at his lover as he passed, thinking nothing of it. David waited eagerly at the alter for his soon to be husband.

Soon Dewayne stepped out, clutching his fathers arms tightly and walking at Dustin's slow pace. The man looked depleted....but happy.

David grinned brightly. God he'd waited for this day for so long ti felt like...

Dustin was face to face with David, staring him down.
"You hurt him or break his heart in any way...Ill break your face and if im gone and you do this, ill haunt your ass," He growled at the man before giving a small smile.
The preacher cleared his throat.
"Who gives this man?"
"Dustin glanced back at Mike and Chris,
"His mothers and I do." He nodded, kissing Dewayne's cheek and going to sit beside Chris.

Chris kissed his husband's cheek as David smiled and held Dewayne's hand.

Dewayne handed Devin his bouquet and faced his lover, he was still upset but this was their wedding day....
The preacher began.

"David Nielsen, do you declare in the presence of these witnesses that you take Dewayne McDaniels to be your lawfully wedded husband? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and stand by her in sickness and in health and be faithful only unto her so long as you both shall live?" The preacher spoke to David.
The man nodded firmly.
"I do..."

He turned to Dewayne.
"Dewayne McDaniels, do you declare in the presence of these witnesses that you take David Nielson to be your lawfully wedded husband? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and stand by him in sickness and in health and be faithful only unto him so long as you both shall live?"
Dewayne seemed to hesitate a moment, the Nielson bothering him still.
"I do." His voice though was strong..
He turned to David.
"Repeat after me. I take you, Dewayne McDaniels , to be my husband
and these things I promise you from this day forward.
I will be faithful to you.
I will be honest with you.
I will respect and trust you.
I will care for you,
and I will share my life with you,
through the best and worst of what is to come,
until death do us part."

Dewayne licked his lips, his fingers threading through Davids.

He wanted to cringe at the last name but he resisted.
The preacher continued.
"I need the rings."
Austin toddled up, handing out two golden bands on a pillow to David.
"David, put the ring on Dewayne's finger and repeat after me. This ring I give / in token and pledge / of our constant faith / and everlasting
love.""

David took the ring and slid it onto Dewayne's finger, kissing the back of his hand before speaking.
"This ring I give / in token and pledge / of our constant faith / and everlasting
love."

The man nodded at Dewayne,.
"Slip the ring on David and repeat after me.
This ring I give / in token and pledge / of our constant faith / and everlasting
love."
Dewayne took his lovers hand, and the ring, slowly slipping the ring on Davids finger, holding it longer than he needed.
"This ring I give / in token and pledge / of our constant faith / and everlasting
love."
The preacher turned to everyone.
When two people pledge to love and care for each other in marriage, they create
a spirit unique to themselves, which binds them closer than any spoken or written
words."

"And with these vows taken and these rings exchanged, I pronounce you husband
and husband, Mr. David and Dewayne Nielson."
Dewayne once again resisted his cringe and grinned brightly.

David sighed but shook his head at the preacher.
"I'm sorry sir, I should have mentioned this earlier. But he's keeping his last name..."

Dewayne shook his head, looking into Davids eyes.
"No sir, its right, im taking his last name."

The preacher looked confused.
"Then you may kiss the groom."
David lifted Dewayne and kissed him deeply.

Dewayne moaned into the kiss.
Dustins eyes teared up, he had given his baby away.

David's eyes were also teary but they were clenched shut so you couldn't tell. Dewayne was Dewayne Nielsen now... tha tmeant everything to him.

Dewayne pressed close to him, sniffling lightly.
"Baby..." He kissed every inch of David's face while the crowed cheered.

"Oh god I love you." David smiled widely.
Devin and Lance cheered the loudest for their eldest brother.

Dustin leaned back in his chair, watching his son with a small smile.
He was proud but sad.....

David carried Dewayne around thanking everyone who congratulated the couple.
