Alanna tried her best to do as she had been asked when the nurse was there. She didn't want to but she was afraid of what Randy might do if she didn't.

Randy lifted Alanna and set her in his lap as the doctor entered the room.

"She has a fever. It was pretty high so I brought her here just in case." Randy explained to the doctor as he held Alanna.

The doctor nodded. He'd seen Alanna many times before. Every time he tried to do anything, she'd start to whine.

Randy thanked the doctor as he handed him some medication.
"Is she here a lot?" Randy asked, it seemed like the doctor was very familiar with her.

"See was that so bad?" Randy smiled at her in the rearview mirror as they drove home.

Alanna simply pouted at him. She didn't like when she had to be somewhere other than in Randy's arms, like she was right now. It was safe in his arms, she liked it.

When they arrived at the house, he scooped her out of the car and carried her inside.
"We're back." He called, peeking into the living room to see if Aiden and Cody were alright.
