Rose Colored Glasses

Alex simply sighed, waiting to see if any more doctors needed to come in.

A nurse came in and helped Mike sit up, she then lifted his gown and felt his ribs, she picked up one of the syringe she brought with her and gave Mike 3 shots in his belly.

Alex frowned at Mike's whimpers, he knew how much he hated shots.

As soon as she was done, purple bruises appeared where the needle went in. Mike was in pain, a normal shot was one thing but in the stomach was another.

"You alright Mikey?" Alex frowned at the bruises, stroking Mike's hair soothingly.

Mike nodded weakly, the bruises hurt and felt horrible. The only thing that helped was Alex's soothing touch.

"I love you honey. I hope you feel better soon and they let you come home."

Mike wanted to go home, he wasn't worried about the babies, he knew Alex took care of them.

"My sister is watching the kids." Alex said incase Mike was wondering.

Mike nodded and grabbed his paper and pen. You going home tonight? Mike asked on the paper.

"Depends, do you want me to stay?" Alex asked, he wasn't going to leave if Mike needed him.

The kids will be scared considering I was taken away in an ambulance, you need to let them know every things okay Mike wrote.

"Alright, honey. But I'l be back soon, don't worry." Alex smiled, and kissed Mike's forehead.

Mike nodded, he didn't want to be alone but Alex was needed else where and he was not a child even thought he acted like one.

Alex told Mike he loved him and drove back home where the kids were waiting.

While Alex was gone, Mike had more shots, on of which he was allergic to but he couldn't say, it wasn't on file, and Alex was not there.

Alex told the children that 'mommy' was just fine. He was just sick. He didn't tell them the whole story. He let them know that everything would be okay but he had to go take care of Mike or he wouldn't get better fast. They immediately let him go back. They already missed him.

Mike was having an allergic reaction, his breathing becoming shallow, his face pale, they injected is arm and it was turning purple.

Alex arrived just in time to see Mike's allergice reaction.
He panicked, not knowing what was going on and pressed the button for the nurse.

The nurse hurried in and look at Mike then at Alex. "Oh my God, hes having an allergic reaction." The nurse ran out to get a doctor.

Alex freaked.
Mike was always in the hospital it seemed. If he lost him because of some fucking careless nurse who didn't bother looking at what he was allergic to...

The doctor was quick, he came in and injected Mike with something in a syringe. The doctor held Mike's hand, taking his pulse. The nurse held the other just because.

Alex glared.
"I'll take over with that." He gave her a fake smile and took the other hand.

The nurse was offended and started stroking Mike hair, he really was a cute man.

Alex was this close to saying something... if this bitch didn't get her hands off of his husband she was getting his foot up her ass.
