Somewhere With You

Kevin looked at him with teary eyes.
"Rick....Not our baby, I am going to have this baby. I care what it does to me, I WILL have it but I am scared. Momma says its hell when the baby is upside down and our baby IS upside down because of Quincy. And you are precious, so precious and I will always fear you leaving me. I know im not as good as you could have, like Chris said, at least Sydney is a looker. I cannot believe you killed yourself for me, its so surreal....." Kevin kissed his lips softly . "But my momma, if daddy leaved what will momma do? And its all just fucked up in my head."

"Baby I don't give a shit what my asshole of a brother said. You are fucking gorgeous. And even if you weren't I am not shallow." He kissed him sweetly. "Baby, I don't know if I can watch the baby hurt you like that..."

"I know you aren't Rick but its just hard for me. I have had to hear about my parents and daddy ditching momma and it seems like we are doing it all over again. Your daddy, Sydney is momma...Im Lane kinda and....Your going to leave me...But I love you and I trust you." He leaned his forehead against Rick's. "Then close your eyes....And go into the other room."

"No baby, I won't let you suffer alone either." Rick sighed and kissed Kevin's nose.

Kevin sighed and pressed their lips together, over and over, just to feel Rick, to feel that ever present spark.

Rick smiled slightly as he ran his fingers through Kevin's hair.
"I'm not goin anywhere babe... never."

Kevin was too excited to sleep, he wanted to know if he was having a boy or a girl. He simply bounced around until he couldn't take it anymore. He was like a child on Christmas as he giddily shook Rick awake so they could go get his momma.

Rick laughed at how giddy Kevin was.
"Alright baby, let's go get your mom."

Kevin took Rick's hand and dragged him along into his parents room. He was surprised when he stepped in to see his father asleep, snoring softy and his mother still laying with his eyes open.
"Momma?"
Mike looked over at them. "Hmmm?"
"I wanna see about my baby."
Mike nodded and rubbed his eyes before kissed Alex's forehead and standing up.
Kevin wanted to ask about his mothers sleep but e wanted to simply focus on his baby. Mike shooed them into the living room.
"Does daddy wanna be here for this?' Kevin asked as he sat down. Mike shrugged.

"I think we should wake him..." Rick frowned as he hopped up and ran to get Alex quickly.

"Momma...." Kevin needed to ask while it was just them.
"What baby?"
"Did you sleep any last night?" It was simple enough but Mike seemed to think twice before answering.
"Of c-" Kevin looked at him sternly. "Momma this is me, not daddy and not Rick."
Mike sighed. "No."
"Why, and I want a straight out answer."
"I can't close my eyes...I see Rick...."
Kevin looked confused, his head tilted, so innocent and so sweet.
"I watched him die...I can't close my eyes without seeing it...."
"Oh momma..."
Kevin hugged his mother tightly.

Rick returned a few minutes later with Alex.
"Can't believe you were about to do it without me." He ruffled Mike's hair, smile on as always, acting like yesterday had not happened.

"Well you were out cold so I didnt wanna bother you and wake you up. I didn't know how important this would be for you." Mike sighed and Kevin continued to him and rub his back.

Alex smiled at him.
"He's my baby, course it's important." He took a seat beside his husband.

"Kevin baby, let me go." Mike gently pushed him off only to have him attach himself back onto him.
His mother didn't let Rick die alone and now he was paying for it.
Kevin wanted to cry for him.

"What's wrong?" Alex and Rick asked almost simultaneously.

"Nothing." Mike told them not even two seconds after they asked. He whispered in Kevin's ear.
"Baby, please don't. Not now. This is me and you, not me you Daddy and Rick. I dont want them to know. If you need to tell Rick you can but I am NOT saying anything." Mike pushed him again and this time Kevin bit lip but stayed back.

"Mikey..." Alex sighed and pulled Mike to him. "Whatever it is I want to know. You're lying to me and I can see it. I knwo you better than anyone."

"You used to know me better than anyone but I think Kevin is leading in that now. We might talk later but right now Kevin wants to know if he is having a boy or girl." Mike pulled away and pushed Kevin shirt up before gathering his things.

That hurt. Very bad. Alex simply sat there as he watched, looking like a puppy someone had just kicked.
Rick watched intently as Mike got his things.

Mike pushed Kevin's shirt up and had him lay back, getting out his machine and petroleum jelly. He smiled a Rick.
"You wanna do the honors?" He gestured to the petroleum jelly.

"I don't really know what I'm doing... think we'd better let your momma." Rick smiled softly.

Mike pulled Kevin over and took His hand, dipping out some of the jelly on it.
"Just rub it on his stomach." Mike pressed the hand with the jelly on it to Kevin's baby bump and moved it around, smearing the jelly around.

Rick continued, smiling at Kevin as he smeared the jelly around on his baby bump... his baby.

Kevin grinned up at him, enjoying the feeling of his lover's hand on him. Mike picked up the head of the device and got it ready.
"Rick can Alex do the next thing?" He questioned softly.
