"I'm s-sorry. I j-just thought he'd be h-happy that I wouldn't w-worry anymore... I d-didn't even get a chance to e-explain to him..."

"It's alright Dustin. Just know he's got to have a reason for doing that. He always does." Alex nodded. "It'll get better ocne you two talk things out."

Dewayne just held him tight and rocked him back and forth.
"Oh Mom...."

Dustin let out a small wail, waking Rick Jr, and causing him to start crying. Mike cursed, trying to calm the baby as Dustin apoligized over and over to Alex and Mike for waking him.

chris simply continued bawling into his son's shoulder.
"I'm s-sorry!" He wailed.

Alex sighed and pulled Dustin into his lap, comforting him the best he could.
"Shh, it's alright."

Dewayne nodded.
"I know mom, I know...." He picked his mother up and put him in bed, laying beside him.
It wasn't the same without Daddy being in the house period...he didnt feel safe.

Kevin sat up in bed, hearing his baby crying. He looked at the crib and noticed his baby was not their.....He knew his father has not come and gotten him, he didnt think Biddy would wake up this late, Higgy would ignore it...Rick and Zac are in bed with him.

Mike in question was gently cooing to the baby, kissing his cheek while Dustin tried to calm down.

Chris held a pillow over his face and let out a muffled scream followed by his sobs.

Rick woke and assumed Kevin had Rick Jr. He was surprised when he walked out into the living room to see Mike holding his child.

Dewayne looked at his mom with a sad stare.
"Mom shhhh, its going to be okay. Daddy wont leave you alone....He loves you too much."

Dustin looked up at Rick and cried harder, making Mike who had his back to Rick looked up at him and hiss.
"Duddy bug please, im trying to get my grandbaby to sleep and your going to make up MY babies, Kevin needs sleep and if he wakes up, Rick will get up and they need rest. HUSH!"
Dustin sniffled and gave a nod, pressing the palms of his hands into his eyes. Mike sighed, once again cooing to his grandchild.

Chris went silent, his shoulders still shaking with silent sobs.

"I'm right here Mike." Rick spoke softly. "You said my name." He pointed out, small smile on his face.

Dewayne shushed him.
"Hey, we will be okay....."
He hated the feeling of helplessness without his father.

Mike turned to look at him, swallowed hard and then went back to cooing to his grand baby.
He hated being mad....well hurt, he wasn't so much as mad he was just hurt every time he looked at Rick.

"You will be! I won't!" Chris cried. "I-I can't do this!" He cried harder, hew as going to make himself sick.

"Mike c'mon, talk to me. Please?" Rick sighed stepping over to look Mike in the eyes.

"Mom it will be FINE! He wont leave you alone, I know he wont. He loves you too much."

Mike sighed and looked into his eyes, his shining with hurt as he stared at Rick.
"Talk to you about what....."
He had to bite his cheek not to add his usual baby.

"Dewayne I-I can't help b-but cry right n-now. Ignore m-me..."

"Anything Mike. At least your talking to me." Rick sighed. "Why are you mad at me might be a good start."

"I can't do that mom, you know I can't." He help his mom tightly, wiping tyhe tears away gently.

"I......Rick...."
Mike cursed himself.
"Baby.....Im not mad i-im hurt......"

Chris sighed with a small half hearted smile.
"Thank you baby..."

"Mike, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you that bad..." Rick sighed.

Dewayne smiled at him.
"Its fine momma. We will be fine."

"I know baby......Im just not used to fight wth you...It upsets me."
Mike looked down.

"I hope so baby..." He sighed, kissing Dewayne's forehead.

"I know, trust me, I know." Rick sighed. "But you can't just ignore me. We gotta talk."

"Im sure daddy'll be back, he loves you....."
He really did and Dewayne knew it.

"I know it just....It hurt to see you so I just locked myself away and pretended you werent here...."

"I just want him back soon... NEED him back soon..." Chris sighed.

"Oh Mike,... what did I say that hurt you so much?"

"I know mom and he needs you too, I know he does." Dewayne nodded to himself, he knew his father could NOT get along without his mom.

Mike looked down at Rick Jr.
"I.....I was trying to get my baby in a safe place. You got mad at me for trying to take him away. Kinda threatened to leave and take Kevin away from me....ANd then you insulted the house and all of us, its my home, immthe one running it, thats like calling me a shitty momma and I am I guess but it still hurt me....I was scared because you said you would leave.....I just...." Mike by now was fighting back tears. He did not want to cry anymore, he was such a baby already.

"Mike I'm sorry, I just... I couldn't stand that my brother was about to cry. You may not care too much but he never cries. Well used to not cry. Apparently he does more often now. Anyway, I just, it was pissing me off because Dustin made a mistake. Yes he hurt Dewayne but he was sorry. I knew if Chris said it wouldn't happen again, it wouldn't. You were gonna take Chris's baby away from him.... you didn't even stop and think what it would feel like if someone did that to you. That's why I threatened to take Kevin away. And I... I love this house. I do. It's stressful as fuck but I coudln't leave if I wanted to."

"Rick....He is MY baby though. Weather Alex likes it or not he is MINE! It is my place to fucking make sure he was safe. Just because Chris got in the picture does not mean I no longer have control over MY FUCKING CHILD! Thats like if Sydney gave a fuck about Zac and he got hurt and Kevin wanted to take care of him but because Sydney just up and became momma he no longer has a say. I care about Chris, I really do because my baby and my bestfriend love him but Let me tell you, I dont play with my kids and you fucking double teamed me, fuck add Dustin you tripple teamed me. He might be your brother but im your momma and you brush me off like im nothing and I was being told I no longer had control of a child than came outta me...."

Rick sighed and shook his head.
"Mike, I won't sit here and argue with you about this. Same way Alex is with Dewayne, and Aaron, it hurts Chris sometimes. But he is trying to pretend Dewayne is his own. I know he isn't. chris knows he isn't. But it makes it easier for him. He loves Dewayne just as much as you do. I know you find that so hard to believe but it's true. And you are still not getting my damn point. You remember that time when Kev told you he was pregnant? You hit him. I'm not trying to be an ass and make you feel bad about that again. You bruised his poor little face. But how would it feel if I had decided to take him away from you for that? For one little mistake I took him away?"

Mike looked away from him.
"Ok Rick."
He wasn't dealing with this, all he could think about was the way he had hit his baby.....
He handed Rick Jr to Rick.
"I...I need to go get something."
He thought about going and picking a fight with Higgy.

"I'm not stupid. What do you need? Whatever it is I'm coming with you. Me or Alex." Rick said sternly.

"Rick im the parent, Stay. You got to watch Rick Jr and Alex is taking care of Duddy Bug for me." Mike went up stairs.

Alex sighed and wrapped one arm around Dustin's shoulders and held out the other. "Gimme me grandbaby and go get him please."
Rick nodded, giving Alex Rick Jr before following Mike up the stairs.
