Whatever It Takes

"I'm glad to have you back to Mike," John said. "I missed this," he murmured, still gently playing with Mike's hair.

"Me to, more than you will ever know." Mike purred, loving the way he and John fell back into the same routine.

"You know," John mused softly. "It almost feels like I never left." he smiled. "We're picking up right where we left off."

"Yeah, I like this, it erases all the pain for the moment." Mike smiled. "All the worries and nagging thoughts fade away." Mike looked up at John. "And its because you finally came home."

"You better get used to it baby," John smiled. "I'm not going anywhere."

"I would be just fine with that," Mike arched his back, effectively popping it. "I can't believe your finally back."

"You know I'm hardheaded Mikey," John chuckled "Took a while for me to come to my senses."

"I need to knock some since into your bull-headed ass." Mike grinned. They were back to normal.

"Good luck with that one baby," John smiled. "My parents have been trying for years."

"C'mon now Johnny, I can tame you." Mike grinned at the challenge.

John rolled his eyes playfully. "I'd like to see you try baby, I'd like to see you try," John grinned.

"C'mon, you can be good for YOUR Mikey." Mike rolled on top of John, kissing him playfully.

John smiled, wrapping his arms around Mike. "Ah, I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to behave myself for you," John said.

"Oh, Yes! Im special" Mike grinned down at John. "You love me." And Mike added as an after thought. "Cuz im awesome."

"And cause you're mine," John added.

"Finally, I haven't heard you say that in so long, it feels good," Mike ran his hands through John's silky hair.

John smiled. If he were a kitten he would have been purring. He closed his eyes, taking in the moment. Having his hair messed with was one of his biggest weaknesses.

Mike continued to play with John's hair. "God, I missed this so much its crazy." Mike laughed as a warmth spread through him knowing he had John back.

"Mmmmhmmm, me too Mikey, me too," John muttered drowsily.

Mike grinned, it was actually quite late and John needed his beauty sleep, this was a proven fact. Mike was getting tired to, he could fall asleep with John like this, he was safe and comfortable.

"Sleepy Mikey?" John asked, smiling drowsily up at him.

"Yeah, but it looks like you are to." Mike settled down beside John and cuddled into his side. "Sleep?"

"Sleep sounds........good," John yawned. "I love you Mikey." he added.

Mike paused letting that information sink in before a goofy smile spread across his face. "I love you to John."

"Night baby," John said, wrapping an arm around him.
