"I'm afraid your Steven has a problem, Mr. Pierce..." The doctor paused. "He has a congenital heart defect..."
Calvin's jaw dropped as he looked at the doctor in disbelief.
"You're kidding right?"
"This is a very serious matter." The doctor shook his head. "This is a very major heart condition. He'll need treatment very quickly if you want him to make it.."
"Treatment?"
"A surgery, Mr. Pierce. A very minor one and I assure you, he will be fine."
"Okay then what are you waiting for?"
"The procedure is very expensive. You'll need several hundred thousand dollars."
Calvin's face fell. He didn't have that kind of money...
All the while Steven just laid on the hospital bed, looking oh so confused.
"Daddy, what ish he tawking abowt?"
"Nothing sweety..." He pulled out and called Gabriel right as his voice started to crack.
"Sweetheart... I need you to get down here to the hospital quickly.. room 754... please hurry." WAs all he said as he set down the phone, trying so hard not to let his precious baby see him cry.

Gabriel had been with Riley watching him try to persuade Sage to drink some vile smelling liquid from a plastic cup.
He answered his phone, his hear dropping into his belly as he heard his lovers voice.
He quickly elbowed his brother.
He got his attention and did their little sign language.
I need to go to the hospital fast.
The man frowned, suspecting something was wrong with his brother. He picked him up and ran him outside, buckling him into the passenger side and got in, driving over the speed limit the whole way to the hospital.
Once he got there he unstrapped his brother and rushed him inside, yelling for doctors.
He had several nurses swarming them before Gabriel got a pen and paper.

He huffed at his brother and stomped off, taking two elevators to the room his husband had told him of. He slowly opened the door, peeking inside and frowning at Steven on the bed.

Steven looked very upset on the bed.
"Mwomma!" Steven yelled. "Daddy ish donna twy!! Tome tiss him!" He exclaimed.
"Daddy's fine..." Calvin whispered, uncovering his face to give his son a wavering smile. "See?"
His baby boy was everything...

Gabriel entered the room quickly, smiling at Steven and kissing his forehead, letting him know he would take care of his father in his own special way that involved no speaking. The smaller man then turned, his big brownish blue orbs finding his lover. Gabriel took a seat on the bed, opening his arms for Calvin.
He didn't know what was wrong but he hated to see Calvin cry and so did Steven, no need to panic him.

Calvin lifted Gabriel into his lap, hugging him to his chest silently.
"Baby..."

Gabriel frowned deeply, his arms winding around Calvin's neck.
His fingers pressed the base of his lovers neck, massaging anyone would have guessed but in reality he was speaking.

"Sweety... Steven has some heart problem...He needs surgery." He sighed softly, stroking Gabriel's hair.

All of Gabriel's movements halted.
What would they do?
He already knew the problem, his AIDS and HIV treatment though was taken care of my his father and his bestfriend Gabriel.....

"He didn't say exact... its a couple hundred thousand... I don't have that..." He massaged his temples.

Gabriel frowned, pressing a kiss to the nook in which Calvin's shoulder and neck met.

He would get it some how.....

"How Gabe...?" He sighed up at him and then peeked over to Steven. His baby..

We will get it some way Calvin baby...Ill figure it out.
He was not used to not having money when he needed it. Back in the day if he needed something....
It was so easy to get a man to do anything for him.

"No babe... I don't want you worrying about this. You're sick." He frowned "I dont' want you stressing.."

Gabriel gave a small smile at his lover, shaking his head. Calvin was always so sweet with him...Always so careful...
Calvin he is my baby...Im going to help you with this. Im getting that money no matter what.

"I'll get it somehow." He nodded firmly.

Gabriel crossed his arms over his chest, pouting lightly at his lover.
He was sick...Not cripple....

"Don't gimme that look..." He pecked his cheek.

Gabriel shook his head, only making the puppy eyes harder on his lover.
He got to help too...

"Aww don't do that." He whined lighlty, caressing Gabriel's cheek with a rough, calloused hand.

Gabriel let out a soft, almost unheard whine out on to the air, his hands dropping from Calvin's neck to his shoulders.
He wanted to help.
He kicked it up a notch, letting his eyes rim with tears.

"Baby..." Calvin frowned deeply, kissing his nose. "Quit it..."

Gabriel shook his head, kissing Calvin softly.
He was helping either way so might as well not fight over it.

He sighed but kissed back.
"Okay sweety."

Gabriel looked back at their baby, frowning deeply.
Can we take him home?

Calvin nodded.
"We can b ut he can't move around too much liike he usually does."
