Catch Me When I Fall

Chris smiled, he knew his lover needed rest, and it was almost quiet time again.

Evan slept peacefully. His vitals began to improve and his fever was close to breaking.

Chris was in and out, the doctors had him in a routine. Chris has developed Anorexia nervousa. Only because he wouldn't leave to eat, but when Evan was better he would.

Evan's condition was improving, slowly, but it was improving nonetheless.

Chris sat in Evan's room, holding his hand. "Your doing good baby, your doing good." Chris mumbled, his tired eye's drooping.

Earlier that day, the nurse had brought Evan a notebook and a pen to help him communicate with others. He wrote Chris a message.

Sleep Christopher

Chris blinked, his tired eyes trying to read. The words were blurry and they came in and out of focus. "Ummmm...No?"

Evan reached up and weakly smacked Chris on the back of the head.

Chris caught Evan's hand after it had hit him and kissed it. "Rest baby....." Chris struggled to keep his own eye open.

Evan's eyes narrowed at Chris. "Y-You t-t-too," Evan forced out.

Chris's eyes snapped open. "Evan, stop it. Go to sleep, if I need to I will." Chris's eyes softened. "Please, dont talk. You need your energy."

Evan crossed his arms. He wasn't going to sleep until Chris did.

Chris rubbed his eyes, sitting back in his chair. Chris's eyes would slip shut and then snap open.

Evan shook his head the the older man. "S-S-Sleep," Evan forced out.

"Evan." Chris glared. "Stop speaking, your hurting yourself and the more you hurt the less I sleep." Chris craddled his head in his hands.

Evan rolled his eyes. He wasn't going to give up until Chris was asleep.

Chris couldn't sleep, but at least it was dark and his head in his hands made it darker.

Evan closed his eyes, pretending to sleep, hoping Chris would go to sleep too.

Chris leaned down and gently kissed Evan's cheek, thinking he was asleep. "Im sorry baby, but if I sleep ill have a nightmare about losing you and.....I just can't." Chris leaned back in his chair and went back to trying to keep his eyes open.

Evan's eyes slid open. He grabbed his paper and started to write again.

You won't lose me Chrissy, I won't leave you.

"What part of sleep don't you get? The S, the L, the E, the other E, or the P?" Chris replied earitably, Chris was tired and upset, two deadly combinatiins to Chris Jericho.

"Don't make me leave, if I have to leave to get you to sleep I will." Chris thretened.

Evan rolled his eyes before closing the. He'd argue more when he had a voice to do so with.

Chris sighed, thankful Evan shut the book. Now if only Evan would sleep for him.
