Rose Colored Glasses

"Hey sweety, how are ya doing?" Alex smiled, walking in and taking Mike's hand.

Mike weakly rolled his head over to look at Alex. Now not only he couldn't speak because of the tube, when she snatched it she had damaged something. So without words, Mike burst into tears.

"Oh honey, what's wrong?!" Alex exclaimed, pulling Mike into a light hug.

Mike just cried harder with no way at all to let Alex know what happened at the moment, he didn't know where his pen and paper were.

Alex dug around until he found the pad of paper and pen. He handed it to his lover.
"What happened sweety?"

Mike scribbled with shaky hands, his tears staining the paper and making the ink run. "Rape"

Alex's breath hitched in his throat.
"Wh-who?" He asked, although he was 99.9% sure he already knew.

Mike coughed, he didn't know her name and he didn't want to do anything but be held by Alex, loved by Alex.

Alex took Mike in his arms.
"It was the nurse wasn't it." It was more of a statement than a question.

Mike took the pad, he couldn't let Alex hurt her and get thrown out, he would be alone and she would have nothing stopping her. "Don't do anything please, if your thrown out im helpless." Mike wrote.

"I won't. Not until you're out of the hospital. Then... only then, that bitch will pay. Baby, are you okay?"

Mike shook his head no and hid his face in the crook of Alex's neck, the breathing tube was twisted but he didn't care, he need Alex to be touching him, erasing where her hands were.

"I love you sweety. You have no clue how much I want to go kill her right now. But I'll wait."

Mike felt dirty. He took his note pad. "Erase her touch." He scribbled quickly.

"Baby, I can just hold ya right now, I hope that's good enough."

Mike shook his head, his blue eyes bright with tears. "Its not." He scribbled.

"Well what else would you like me to do honey?"

Mike got really still and then took up his pad. "E-r-a-s-e H-e-r T-o-u-c-h"

"I understand that, honey. But how? Tell me what you want."

Mike tentatively tried pulling his breathing tube out, it hurt like hell but it finally came out. Mike swallowed and the he nervously kissed Alex.

"Baby, I don't think you're supposed to take that out." Alex said nervously, kissing him back.

Mike took his pad up and wrote. "She did." Quickly, he was afraid of Alex not wanting him but he needed it to be erased.

Alex frowned, fist clenching in anger. He leaned down and kissed Mike deeply. The taste of lipgloss making him want to scream.

The wires and tubed wouldn't allow Mike to move much but he would make do with what he had. Mike gently let his hand caress Alex's cheek.

"I love you. So much." Alex whispered, he hated himself for getting himself kicked out. This never would've happened.
