Rose Colored Glasses

Mike wanted to go back to how he and Alex were before the babies were born. He would never give his children up, but just how he and Alex were so close and he wasn't suck a fucking sensitive bitch all the time.

Alex fed the kids and walked over to his sister.
"Thanks for watching them Rach."
"Oh it was no problem, I had nothing better to do on a Friday night." She said sarcastically.
Alex chuckled, glancing worriedly over at Mike on the bed.
"What's wrong with him?" She asked. "Well other than the fact that he almost died."
"Something happened at the hospital. With one of the nurses. I'd rather not explain it right now. But he misses how things were when it was just us."
She nodded and sighed.
"Okay, I know I'm gonna regret this... but what if the kids come stay with their aunt Rachel for the week?"
Alex beamed.
"You mean it?!"
"Yeah. Now get their things packed, I'll be back later tonight. Hurry before I change my mind." She groaned.
"Love you, lil sis." He smirked, hugging her.
"Yeah yeah yeah." She smiled as she walked out the door.

Mike glanced over at Alex and his sister. He needed to thank the girl to keeping his babies while he wasn't around. Mike turned to the wall and curled up, he was tired. Mike fell off into a dreamless sleep.

Alex wanted this to be a surprise for Mike.
He had it all planned out, he just hoped Mike would sleep long enough.
"Hey guys." Alex turned to the kids. "How'd you like to go to Aunt Rachel's house?"

Alex Jr smiled, "I like aunt wachel." He turned to look at his momma. "But what about mommy? he's not feeling to good, I gots to protect him like daddy does."

"Don't worry sweety, I'm gonna take real good care of mommy while you're gone." Alex smiled at his son.

Alex looked at his sleeping mother. "Pwomise?" He asked, he was protective of him momma even at such a young age.

"Promise." Alex smiled.
"I wanna go to Aunt Wachels!" Sydney exclaimed. "Can we go now?!" She said bouncing up and down excitedly.

Alex jr giggled and hugged his sister, bouncing up and down with her. "Can we? Can we?" He asked excitedly.

Alex chuckled.
"She's gonna come back in a bit to get you. Go pack up some stuff."

Mike opened his eyes for only a second, a pain in his stomach had woken him up, he seen his babies going to get something it seemed like and then he was gone again, he didn't know he was so tired.

The kids were finished packing soon and not too long after Rachel was back. She hugged her brother, wished him luck with Mike and left with the kids.
Alex grinned, thankful that Mike wasn't awake yet. He began setting up his special surprise.

Mike woke up hours later, he left less sick and he was now hungry. Mike sighed and stood walking to the kitchen and finding a little something to nibble on. He didn't notice anything, he was still so tired and after he woke up it took him a few minutes to start working.

Alex chuckled as Mike didn't even look over at the dining table which was already laid out with their fanciest silverware and had a single raspberry scented candle in the center. Alex leaned over and dimmed the lights.
"Honey, dinner's already made for you." He called to Mike.

Mike rubbed his eyes, he needed to wake up so he splashed water on his face but when he stepped into the dinning room he was wide awake. A-Alex?" He stuttered. "What is this?" He asked, coming over to stand beside the table.

"It's alone time. For you and me." Alex gave his husband a small smile, hoping he would like this.

Mike grinned at Alex and sat down across from him. "This is so sweet, thank you Alex." Mike looked at Alex with loving eyes, this was nice after everything they had been through lately.

"No problem honey. I'm glad it makes you happy." Alex smiled as they began eating.

Mike ate slowly, he was not used to eating but he was starving. He had missed being alone with his husband.

Alex smiled as Mike ate.
"Honey, promise me you won't throw that up?"

Mike paused and looked up at Alex. "I promise I will try not to, my body's not used to having to digest food and keep it down anymore but im trying for you baby, I am."

"Okay." Alex nodded, satisfied with that reply. He finshed and waited for Mike to finish before taking out the dishes.
"There's more." He smiled, extending a hand to his husband.

Mike grinned and took his husbands hand. "What else couple there be, this was wonderful, you didn't have to do so much."

"Yes I did." Alex smiled, leading his husband into the bathroom where a warm bath was already made filled with rose petals.

A small blush rose on Mike's cheeks, it had been a while since Alex had seen him with out clothes.
