Unspoken Fears

Matt Hardy sighed as he sat on the edge of his younger brother's bed. It was obvious to anyone that Jeff was seriously ill, but in true stubborn Jeff fashion he was refusing to go to the hospital. Matt needed help to get his brother medical treatment before he got any worse, it had taken the elder Hardy nearly and hour just to get Jeff to allow his temperature to be taken. Sighing softly he grabbed his cell phone and dialed Jay's number, surely he could help.

Jay had just finished when his phone rang"Hello"he answered

"Jay, it's Matt," the elder Hardy answered. "Jeff's sick again and he won't let anybody help him, can you come over?"

Jay aswered i'll be right there. how bad is he? he asked worriedly

"His temperature is up to nearly 103," Matt drawled worriedly. "He's almost whiter then the sheets he's laying on."

Jay started to get really worried "i'm almost there ok"

"Okay," Matt said. "Thank for coming man."

"No problem" answered Jay as he arrived and jumped out of the car. he ran to the door and knocked

Matt sent Jeff's best friend Shannon Moore downstairs to answer the door. "C'mon in man," Shannon said. "Jeff's in his room."

Jay said thank you and run to Jeff room. "Jeff" he asked softly as he walked to Jeff"s bedside

"J-Jay?" Jeff stammered, shivering from chills, drenched in a cold sweat. He turned his half open fever glazed green eyes toward the older man.

:how are you doing?"Jay asked as he gently place his hand on Jeff's forhead

"I'm c-cold," Jeff stammered, weakly attempting to swat Jay's hand away. "If y-you came t-to m-mother me y-you can l-leave n-now."

Jay sighed and answered i came because i care Jeff ,you know i do." gently he kissed him on his forhead and whispered"i love you"

"L-Love you t-too Jay-Jay," Jeff smiled weakly. "M-Mattie's worrying t-too m-much," Jeff added, his drawl thickened by fever.

Jay gently smiled and replied "he's you brother he just wants to take care of you." jay stopped for a second then continued" will you let us call a doctor if you won't go to the hospitel?"

Jeff weakly shook his head. "Don't w-wanna be m-m-messed with J-Jay, w-wanna b-be l-l-left alone," Jeff stammered, chills becoming worse.

Jay sighed and replied" at least let me stay with you i what to make sure your ok, alright?

Jeff nodded slowly. "Th-Thank y-y-you for c-c-coming," Jeff said weakly, a cough forcing it's way from his lungs.

Jay smiled and replied "anything for you Jeff. do you need anything?" he asked

Jeff shook his head. "J-Just w-w-wanna sl-sleep," Jeff said. "Too t-t-t-t-tired to d-d-d-do anything else."

Jay softly kissed jeffs forhead and said" ok Jeff go to sleep, i'll be back in a minute i have to talk to matt ok?

Jeff nodded slowly, eyes already closed. "D-don't b-b-be gone t-t-too long," Jeff stammered sleepily.

Jay slipped out and went to Matt, when he found him he said Matt we need to find away to help Jeff.

"We're gonna have to force him to go to the hospital, whether he likes it or not," Matt replied simply. "I say we carry him to the car while he's out of it and take him in."
