No Vacancy

Hailey giggled, big blue eyes sparkling when she did. "When she gets to that age I'll be sittin out on the porch cleanin' my shotgun 24/7," Jeff said.

"Mmmhmmmm. I see. You are gonna be a lil' heartbreaker, lil' princess." He grinned at her. "And... Jeffro? I don't blame ya. I'm jus' gonna shower up, an' I'll be ready to take us to the next show." He stood up, heading over to the shower. He came out a few moments later, tossing his clothes into his suitcase.

Jeff had Hailey sitting in his lap. He was trying to braid her hair, but she wouldn't stop squirming. "Hailey Elizabeth Marie, still still," Jeff scolded lightly. Hailey pouted and sat still.

JJ watched them for a bit, smiling a little. "Wow- ya wanna sit still for your daddy- he's doin' a great job braidin' your hair. It's gonna look so pretty when he's done."

"She's like me," Jeff said. "Doesn't like to be in one spot for too long."

"Ahhh, I see." JJ took a seat beside Jeff, watching him work on her hair. "I was the same way. I never wanted to sit still. I always was movin' around with nervous energy. Kinda grew out of it though after foundin' the company. Made me grow up alot n' fast...An' then having the whole thing stolen from me." He looked bitter for a moment before shaking it off. "Sorry. Still mad. Anyway... We're not too far from your home town. Ya want a ride home or to someplace else?"

"Stopping by the house would be a good idea," Jeff said. "Need to grab a few more things for Hales before we go off again."

JJ nodded. "Alright, sounds great. Let's get ourselves on outta here then. Nothin' like a good night sleep to make ya feel like new again." He stood up grabbing up their bags. "Lead the way, Jeffro. You'll have to tell me how to get there though."

Jeff nodded, lifting Hailey onto his shoulders. "Sound like a plan to me," Jeff said.

"Alright." JJ nodded and walked out with Jeff to the parking lot. Once his passengers were safely tucked inside the car, he started off toward the Carolinas. Soon enough, they were over the state line. "So... where do we go from here, Jeffro? I'm not exactly... oh... familiar with this area."

Jeff nodded, and explained how to get to Cameron as if it were simpler than 2+2. "Once you start seein' nothin' but tobacco fields, you know you're there."

A little while later, after the last fan left the meet and greet, JJ sighed hard. It was a long night, and his match went well... if not grueling in it's intensity. Joe was a solid worker, but he worked damn hard. JJ rubbed his sore neck, looking over to Jeff. "Man. What a night. Ya'll get a hotel room alright? There's nothin' more than I'm lookin' forward to than hittin' the mattress tonight."
