Misfit

Drew drove over to his mother's house. She comforted him as he sobbed. Paige watched in concern.

"I happen to love him. Sometimes quiet is nice and he is certainly not a stick in the mud." Matt pulled Quinton to him and kissed his cheek.

Mike had no one to help him, he was all alone now. The next day they started training.

Quincy snickered. He was doing anything to keep his mind off of his girlfriend and the baby his had lost. Quinton wrapped an arm around Matt's waist. He did not want to leave him here.

Several people came to visit Drew and see how he was doing. Savannah, Quincy, even his father had come. But that was not to help him. It was to tell him that was what he got for being a faggot. Drew's mother sent him away and told him not to come back. Drew was alone in he and Mike's empty house when the doorbell rang. It was Hannah.

"You can leave now darlin. I'm alright." Matt smiled at Quinton.

Mike had been gone for a month and he was now in a jungle, people shooting at him and all he could think of was Drew.

Quinton whined and wrapped his arms tighter around Matt's waist.
"I dont wanna."

Drew told Hannah he was not in the mood for her shit right now. She claimed that she only wanted to help him feel better. He reluctantly let her in. She kept to her word and didn't try anything. He spent most of his time with her for the first month. And then she kissed him. He immediately pushed her off. She was not happy about that.
They fought and she stormed out. At home that night Hannah smiled to herself as she wrote:
"Dear Mike,
This is Hannah. You know, the girl you stole Drew from? Yup, it's me. Well, I'm just writing to let you know that Drew has moved on to better things, meaning me. He can live a normal life now, and not be looked down upon for being gay. I'd like to say I'm sorry for your loss and all that other bullshit but then I'd be lying. You had this coming. You always left him alone and he cared too much about your sorry ass to let me keep him company. But, now that you're gone for good he's realized that I'm much better for him. I'll raise Paige as my own. Oh, and don't worry her name is now Paige McIntyre. And hopefully, within the year I'll be Hannah McIntyre too. I hope you're enjoying yourself out there. This is what you get for not listening to Drew when he told you to not join the National Guard.

She was sickingly happy, thinking about how Mike would react to this. She put it in an envelope and mailed it out.

"Baby, I'm a big boy. I can take care of myself." Matt laughed.

Mike reread the letter several times before it sunk in. Drew had moved on, and Mike was not even dead. Mike had worked so hard for that baby and Drew and this is what he got. And fucking Hannah sent it. Did Drew not even respect him enough to write it himself or tell him in person if he came back? Mike was in this fucking mess because he was trying to provide for Drew and Paige. He could not believe this as the tears finally fell from his eyes and the will to live he had slipped away. Too bad he didn't die, nope God wanted to watch him suffer some more so after five month he sent him home after getting shot in the chest. Mike couldn't believe he was not dead, he had been TRYING to die but no. Mike was in the infirmary for a week before he was strong enough to go back to the house HE bought and beat on the door, the letter clutched firmly in his hand.


Quinton sighed and nodded. he kept his head down as he walked out of the club.
He did not like it.

Drew had been all alone since he threw Hannah out. His mother had been watching Paige. He was not a stable parent. He made his way to the door. His face lit up when he saw Mike. He had no clue Hannah had sent that letter.
"MIKE!"

Matt frowned as Quinton walked away but made his way over to the bar. He was given his unifom and he went to change in the bathroom. Then he walked up beside Quincy to take orders.

Mike growled and shoved the letter at him.
"Dont fucking touch me!"

Quincy grinned at him.
"So, you like my brother do ya?"

Drew whimpered looking up at his husband with hurt eyes. He took the letter. But he didn't read it yet.
"Wh-wha...?"

"Nope." Matt paused and made a man's drink. "I love him." He finished with a smirk.

"I can't believe you would do this to me! You didnt even have the balls to write the letter yourself!" Angry tears fell from his eyes as he shoved pass Drew and began packing his things.

Quincy rolled his eyes and laughed.
"You even sound like him and his lovey ass."

"Mike! What did I d-do?" Drew exclaimed following after Mike. "I don't know what your talking about! Write what?!"

"I happen to love how corny and sweet he is." Matt stuck his tongue out.

"Read the fucking letter your little girlfriend sent me!" Mike yelled as he continued to pack.

Quincy chuckled.
"He really is something else. I dont get how someone who watches people die and even kills can be so sweet."

Drew skimmed through the letter and his mouth formed a perfect O.
"Mike! I didn't tell her to write this! I'm not with her!"

"I know. It's so odd but I'm glad." People kept grabbing at Matt's ass and flirting. He was very glad Quinton went home. Half these people would be dead by now. But they didn't bother him. He was used to being around skeazy people.

"Don't lie to me damnit! Why else would she write it! Who told her I was leaving or where to send it? You did!"

Quincy finally snapped at them. It was his brothers lover and they would be missing hands if Quinton was here.

"Mike! Please! Let me explain! She came over and was comforting me. We were hanging out for the first month but ONLY as friends. I swear. She kissed me so I yelled at her and kicked her out. She probably was angry. And the reason she knew where to send it is because I'd been bawling to her all month. I'd been confiding in her about everything." Drew said, tears filling his eyes.

"They're not bothering me but thanks." Matt shrugged. "I'm used to it."

"Y-Your not leaving me for her?"
Mike didnt know what to believe but he didnt want to think Drew would leave him.

"You might not but Quinton sure would and I am going to respect that and keep em offa ya."

"NO! I'll never leave you!" Drew cried.

Matt nodded.
"I grew up around people like this." He shrugged.

Mike stopped packing and just stared.\
Drew was not leaving him for that bitch.

Quincy sighed.
"Well you dont anymore because if someone did this and Quinton saw he would turn a flip."

"M-Mike please believe me. I would never leave you." Drew begged.

Matt nodded.
"I sort of assumed that."

Mike nodded and jumped into Drew's arms.
He was home.

Quincy laughed.
"Im surprised. He is so sweet, you wouldnt expect him to freak like he would.

Drew buried his face in the crook of Mike's neck as he lifted his legs around his waist.
"I missed you."

"Hmm... I'm kind of intrigued. That sounds sexy." He laughed.

Mike sniffled as his arms went around Drew's neck.
"I missed you too Drew. I got send home because I was shot, I dont have to go back."

Quincy laughed.
"He really likes you, or he told me he loves you."

Drew swallowed.
"Poor baby, are you okay?" Drew frowned.

"I love him too." He held out the hand with the ring. "He gave me this.."

Mike shrugged and snuggled up to Drew so some more. He was alive, thats all that mattered.

Quincy stared at it long and hard.
"You had better not hurt him."

"I'm so glad you're alive." Drew whispered, squeezing his husband close.

"I won't. Don't worry." Matt said.
