Never gonna be alone

Rayner sat in the small booth at the back of the restaurant, tears streaking down his face. He had been stood up, hurt by someone who he thought cared about him. He let out a small whine before wiping his face with his napkin. His eyeliner smeared over his eyes. He set his head in his hands, silently sobbing.

Adam had paid his check and was getting ready to leave when he heard a light sob he turned and saw Rayner crying in the back he walked over and asked "whats wrong?"

Rayner took a glance up at the stranger, realising it was Adam. He ran a finger under his nose, "I-I've b-been stood up by some w-who I though c-cared about me. I've been here for 4 hours" With that his voice cracked and he resumed his crying.

Adam sat down and wrapped his arm around Rayner "then their stupid for standing you up"

"But this always happens! I haven't been on a date where the person has showed up. It always happens, all the time" He sobbed, rubbing his eyes.

Adam gently rubbed Rayner's back he couldn't understand why someone would do that to someone as sweet as Rayner

"I just don't understand, why doesn't anyone like me" He said as he wiped his tears away with his napkin again.

"because their fools" said Adam "any one would be lucky to have you"

"And yet no one wants me. Maybe I should just give up. I came to this country to find love, maybe I should just go back home"

Adam sighed he had liked Rayner for a while but it had always looked like he had others he was interested in and now that he knew Rayner was single he wanted to leave "maybe you can still find someone"

"I've tried so hard. I just...can't do it anymore" He whined.

Adam hugged Rayner "maybe you could" he stopped himself before he could finish

"I give up." He sniffed, "I'm gonna go back to Germany. Give up wrestling, go work in a deli"

"but you love wrestling don't you" said Adam "i mean thats why you got in the business right?"

"Well...yeah"

"then why leave, i know i could never leave" said Adam "i don't know what i would do if i couldn't wrestle it's my life"

"I just don't know what to do with my life now" He whispered.

"you could stay with me" said Adam softly

Rayner stopped his sobbing and looked at Adam, giving him a questioning glance.

Adam stummered "well i-i" then he looked away "nevermind"

"You know you can tell me anything" He said rubbing his eyes.

"well i've want to ask you out for a while but you've always been with somebody when i'd get my courage up to ask"

"R-Really?"

Adam nodded feeling nervous that Rayner would reject him

"That's so sweet" Rayner smiled.
