When Crickets Cry...

And everyone knew it was only a matter of time before that happened... his lifestyle ccame with consequences...

Gabriel couldn't tell his parents so he just tried to stay away from everyone, not touch them, not get to close to them....
He had no one.....
And it was his own fault.

Zac tried to talk to him. As every night but Gabriel just stayed silent...

Tonight he came home and instead of going straight to his room like always, he went into the living room with his family and sat down.

"Hi sweety." Zac smiled sweetly at him

Another first for Gabriel.
He nodded and he said "Hey mommy...."
He never spoke.
Never called Zac mommy...
He was scared.

Zac blinked, beaming at first but then he noticed the look on his son's face.
"Baby.... whats wrong?" He moved to sit beside his baby.

Gabriel twitched and moved away.
"Nothing mommy....."
This is more then he spoke in three years combined.

"Baby... you dont talk much but I know my babies... something is wrong... talk to momma. Please. I might be able to help."

"You can't help me this time mommy..."
No one could.
He didnt deserve help anyways.

"I might not be able to help with the problem but I'm your momma. I can help you get through it..."

Gabriel looked around, pulling out the results and handing them to his mother, looking down at his hands.

Zac gasped as he looked at the paper.
"Oh... oh... oh baby..." He held Gabriel to his chest. His poor baby...

Gabriel shook his head.
'Its my fault momma....You tried...." He hugged Zac tightly.

"Gabriel, when I was your age, I was pregnant with you and seven other babies. I love you all and I don't regret having you at all but I was so young. I should have still been a virgin at that age. I understand sweety... my momma was there for me when I got pregnant and imma be here for you."

"You were bringing life into the world and you had one man. I am a whore and im dying." He mumbled.
