Not Exactly Their Little Angel

It was three in th morning when Hailey woke up with a cough. She couldn't sleep. Her throat hurt, her stomach hurt, her whole body just hurt. Normally she would have crawled to her parents bedroom and woke them, but she didn't have the energy. "Daddy!" she yelled weakly. "Daddy!"

Mike's tired eyes slid open, and he brought one hand up to rub them. Mike turned over to see Jeff. Mike listened again for what may have woken him up.

"Daddy!" Hailey called again, her voice was getting weaker from the yelling now and it was really starting to hurt.

Mike got up, careful not to wake his lover, and went into Hailey's room. "Sweetheart?" Mike called, sitting next to Hailey on the bed and scoping her up into his arms. "Whats the matter?" Mike questioned.

"Don't feel good daddy," Hailey whined, snuggling closer to Mike.

"Awww, sweetheart." Mike cooed. "Do you want to come sleep with me and daddy Jeff?"

"Can't sweep," Hailey whined. "Hurts......."

"How about I fond you some medicine, huh?" Mike was already on his way to the kitchen to the medicine cabinets.

Hailey shook her head. "Nuh uh, medi ucky," Hailey said, pressing her lips tightly together.

"Your going to take it because I can't have my baby not feeling good." Mike glanced at Hailed with a small, sleepy smile.

"No!" Hailey pouted. " I won't do it, I won't, I won't I won't!"

"Yes ma'me you will." Mike said strictly.

"NO!" Hailey pouted. "You can't make me!"

"Hey, now little lady." Mike said. "Do you need a whipping?" Mike asked.

Hailey froze. She shook her head. "I sworry daddy, I be good girl," Hailey said.

Mike nodded and poured some children's night time medicine in a spoon and held it up to Hailey.

Hailey slowly opened her mouth.

Mike put the spoon in here mouth and then pulled it our after he made sure she got it all. "Now was that so bad?"

Hailey made a face "Icky," Hailey muttered.

"I know." Mike chuckled. "Ready to go back to bed?"

"Wanna stay with you daddy," Hailey pouted. "Pwease?"

"Okay baby, can we at least join Daddy Jeff in out bed?" Mike questioned.

Hailey nodded. "Uh huh," Hailey said.

Mike went back to his and Jeff's room and got in bed, placing Hailey in between him and Jeff. Mike kissed Hailey's forehead. "Good night baby."

"G'night daddy," Hailey yawned, drifting off.

~A Few Hours Later~

Jeff sighed as he rocked Hailey in his arms. The small child was burning up now and in a considerable amount of pain.
