When Crickets Cry...

Lance hung his head.
He hated himself...
He had disappointed his father.... he was a failure...

Riley stepped out, sitting with him and holding him close.
"What did he say baby?"

"You're allowed to stay here if its okay with my momma..." He looked away, hiding the tears rolling down his cheeks.

Riley gasped, wiping the tears and holding Lance close.
"Oh baby." He wasn't strong enough to pick him up anymore....
He called Chris.

Chris walked out and sighed.
"What is it Riley?" He saw his son crying and sat beside him, tugging him into his arms.

"I don't know what your ass hole of a farmer said, but im about to put him in hell of pain worse than dying in that fucking truck." He growled. "I heard uncle Alex say he deserved to die one time. He fucking did. Fuck him, where does he get off making my baby cry?"

"Don't piss momma off..." Lance sighed, kissing Riley softly. "Daddy didn't do anything... I hate myself..."
"Baby don't say that.." Chris sighed, stroking his hair.

Riley growled kissing him.
"Dont you ever hate yourself. Your fucking amazing...." He pulled Lance into his arms.

"I'm sorry... I'm gonna ruin your fucking life too..." Making him a daddy so young...

Riley frowned.
"You stop that right now Lance. You sound like my momma. You stop it. Im going to be happy with you, I am happy...."

"But you're young... you shouldn't have to deal with a baby. Oh god..."

Riley growled.
"You stop....Right damn now! You don't tell me what I should and should not do! You just stop it." He hissed.

Lance flinched and sighed, laying back in the grass, hand on his stomach.

Riley got up, going inside and hugging his mother.
"Im staying here momma. I love....Ill call you every day." He nodded.

"Oh.... baby.." Zac frowned but sighed and nodded.
He was down to five kids.... Sean had barely any time left andDavid had said it could be a while before he woke.... then it'd be four... Gabriel thought Zac hated him... three...

Riley stepped over to Sean.
"You listen to me. You eat for me....For me....You can't die on me Sean. I need you." He kissed his forehead. "Swear..please..."

"I-I... I swear I'll try Riley..." He sighed, nodding.

He shook his head, pressing Sean to him.
"Momma....if its okay with Chris can Sean stay with me?"

Zac lowered his head.
"Sure baby..."

Riley shook his head, pulling his mother to his chest.
"Momma, this is not forever....We love you, Ill be home to see you everyday....Im used to going back and forth."

"All my babies are leaving but I love you... and I can't ask you to leave your boyfriend when he's pregnant." He sighed.

"Well your my momma, imma come see you, im bringing Sean, and ill get Brayden and Angel home...Ill do it momma..."

"baby, you're so sweet. ANd strong. But you're not superman. You try so hard to help everyone and... sweety it just can't be done. You're gonna be a daddy.. you focus on that right now."

"No, Imma be superman for Lance and my baby, why not for you too?" He nodded. "Imma get it done momma."

Zac smiled softly at him and hugged him.
"I love you so much sweety."
