Hectic

Calvin and his band had a tiny stage set up in the hospital. He wasn't playing his usual, hard rock, instead he was playing some soft, kid songs for the younger patients he was performing for at the moment. Later he would go back to normal with the teens and young adult patients. He loved this sort of volunteer work. He'd come to the hospital with his band to play for the sick people here, it made him feel good, knowing that he put a smile on someone's face. On Christmas, he even brought gifts.

But Gabriel, even though he was there alot never managed a smile for the band. Yes the band actually lifted his spirits but he just no longer had the will to smile. He had almost been living with his disease for a year, it was taking its toll on his but he didn't wanna just let it kill him, no he was fighting it even if he was not doing so good. At the moment he was in getting a check up and speaking to his doctor. He was on his way out, stopping just a minute to lean against the door and watch the band play.

Calvin always noticed the young boy, and he was intrigued by him. No one noticed but he always paid Gabriel speciall attention, he noticed he could never make him smile. After he finished, he waved the little kid's goodbye with a goofy grin and hopped down off the stage, walking towards Gabriel.

Gabriel sighed softly, his had become pale, sickly looking. His eyes glazed over and his skin cold. He usually slept as long as he could.
He turned away and started tot he door.

"Hey! Wait up!" Calvin called softly, not knowing what kind of sickness the boy had.

Gabriel paused, looking back at him with a raised brow.
What did this man want this him....
Was he like the other who would stop him on the streets and ask him for a quickie? Pick at him?

Calvin cursed himself. What was he doing?
"You, uh... you gonna stay around for the next show?" He bit his lip at how stupid he sounded.

Since getting his virus his speaking really was...
Gone.
He had a little pad around his neck, he picked it up and wrote.
I need to go home. Im tired. But Ill stay for a little while.

"Oh, of course. Just... y'know wonderin'." He nodded and gave a small smile. "Hope ya feel better..."

Gabriel had yet to smile.
He wrote again.
Gabriel

"Calvin." He responded, nodding.

Gabriel nodded, holding his heady sack over his other shoulder.
He was so weak....
He walked back to where the band was.

Calvin smiled at him as he hopped on the stage again and began to sing for the older teen patients.

Gabriel sat down, his hands in his lap as his listened.
And older boy scooted closer and closer to him, making him uncomfortable. The boy was finally shoulder to shoulder with him.
You could tell Gabriel wanted to be left alone...
But the boy leaned in closer.
"Don't I know you from somewhere?"
"............"
"I know I do."
"..........."
"C'mon sweetheart."
"..........."
The boy pulled a ten dollar bill from his pocked and flashed it in front of Gabriel.
"C'mon, Don't think I dont know you. Your the whore everyone has had. Ten dollars say me and you go to the bath room together for some fun."
".........."
"Awwww whats the matter? Tired of being a whore? Or have you finally gotten some disease."
".........." That struck home...

Calvin had no clue what he was doing. He stopped in the middle of a song to step off the stage and over to the man.
"Excuse me, this is a hospital. Not a strip club. He don't want your skank ass and I'm sure the hospital would not like you bothering patients. So you might wanna beat it before I make you."
And there was the change in personalities. Eddie had taken over.

The man rolled his eyes, sneering in Gabriel's face.
"Awww did the little whore get a boyfriend?"

He pulled the boy off to the side and lifted him by the collar of his shirt.
"Call him a whore one more time and I'll cut off your dick and shove it down your throat." He hissed in the man's ear.

The boy gulped, nodding fearfully.
"Y-Yes sir." He stuttered.

Calvin gruffly set him down.
"Now unless you're a patient I want you to GET. Scram. Shoo." He snapped, shooing the boy away.

And the boy ran, quick as he could to get out of the room.
Gabriel was face forward like he didn't even been bothered.
Frown firmly in place.

Calvin cracked his knuckles and neck and the normal Calvin was back, wondering what had happened. He simply groaned, shaking his head.

Gabriel blinked his eyes, sighing and getting up, taking his things and slowly walking out the door.

Calvin frowned after him but shrugged it off as he finished singing and packed up his things.

Gabriel had gotten tired on the way home, sitting down his bag and sitting on a bench in the park, ignoring all the men who came by, speaking to him.

On his way home, Calvin passed the park. He noticed Gabriel and bit his lip.
"Dont do it.... you already freaked him out..." HE told himself.
