When Crickets Cry...

"Okay..." Zac nodded. "He's never gonna get back together with me now..."

"Oh momma....yes he will. One day he will." Aaron sighed. "I know because he talks about it...He wants it."

Zac sighed and looked down at his stomach, hurt shown in his eyes.
He didn't want this...

"Momma...Its your baby..."
He should want his baby...

"I know...."
He should... but he didn't... It wasn't Quincy's...

"Do you really just not want it momma?" Aaron frowned lightly at his mother.

"It isn't your daddys..." Zac sighed softly. He would be ecstatic if the child belonged to Quincy's.

"Okay then momma you can get it aborted I guess." He frowned deeply.

"You're right though... I... promised myself I'd never do that to a baby... I just..." He sighed softly.

"Zac, no one can make you have this baby...."
He just felt bad for it, he knew what it was like to be unwanted.
So did Zac.

"But I can. I'm going to force myself.... and I'll love it... even if it kills me." He sighed.

Aaron nodded.
"You go momma....You go." He was proud of his mother.

Zac nodded, stroking his stomach.
"Yupp..."

Aaron picked him up and laid him down.
"Rest momma...You need it."

"Okay baby... thank you... I really don't know what I'd do if you hadn't been here for me.."

Aaron laid with him and pulled him close.
"Its fine momma...We will be okay."

Zac nuzzled his neck, curling up to him.
He closed his eyes and for a moment... he was okay.

Aaron was making him okay, it was his job as the oldest child.

Aaron was so like his father... a bit smaller but with his eyes closed, Zac could almost pretend Quincy was back...

Aaron took after his father but he got his out bursts and blue eyes from Mike.

A few more months past and Zac was five months along, his stomach huge. As far as he knew Quincy still had no clue.

Quincy didnt, he hadnt seen Zac. All he knew was that he hated Jennifer and wanted to kill her so bad.

Zac had made all the children swear to stay quiet about this.
He was dreading the day Quincy found out... he had no clue what his reaction would be.

It wouldn't be good...
But it was sure to be bloody.

Vikki was currently with her mother, smiling as she rubbed her stomach.
"Oh, momma you should really go see memaw and see if its a boy or girl. I'm dying to know."
"Baby... just a little bit longer." He sighed. He didn't want anyone else knowing...
