Stubborn, Me?

John groaned and coughed hard as he rolled over in bed. He felt like hell. The spot next to him in bed was empty. "Phil must already be awake," he mumbled to himself. This was going to be a long day.

Phil was in the bathroom brushing his teeth "Johnny baby you ok?" he asked hearing the cough.

"Yeah, I'm fine baby," John said, mentally cursing how hoarse he sounded. He practically sounded like death.

"You don't sound ok." Phil replied.

"I'm fine baby really," said John. "Just a cold, nothing to worry about."

"Well if your sure..." Phil started.

John opened his mouth to say something and coughed again.

Phil sighed and muttered "Stubborn."

"I heard that," muttred John, throwing a pillow toward the bathroom.

"Yeah well you are." Phil replied.

"Am not," said John, turning onto his other side.

Phil sighed softly "Baby please..."

John just curled up and coughed again.

Phil sighed not sure what to do.

"Phil," whined John softly. "I'm cold, come lay with me?"

"Of course baby." Phil said as he got back into the bed.

John snuggled close to Phil instantly. "Thank you baby."

"Anything for you babe." Phil said with a smile.

John smiled and coughed softly, burrowing close.

"Love you." Phil said softly as he held John close.

John groaned softly. His stubborn act quickly fading. "Feel like crap......."

"i know babe." Phil said softly.

John whined and curled closer.

"Johnny babe i'm going to take you to the doctor."

John shook his head. "No."
