Only A Match, Right? (Anyone)

"Itth got to be getting late brat. You thould let Drew take you home. You can come back tomorrow."

"Are you kidding?" Adrian asked incredulously. "No, I'm spending the night. Drew can go home whenever.

Jake sighed.
"Brat, you dont need to thend the night here in the hothpital. Go on home."

"I don't need to, I want to. And I am." Adrian said firmly.

"Brat, im eight yearth older than you. You don't tell me." Jake kissed the back of his hand, touched he cared enough to stay.
"Go on now, you can come thee me firth thing tomorrow."

"No. I won't be able to sleep anyway. Not knowing if you're okay."

"Drew would you pleath take him back to the hotel? He doeth not need to thend the night in thith hothpital."

"The only way I'm leaving is over my dead body." Adrian crossed his arms and planted his feet on the ground.

Jake looked at Drew pleadingly.
"Drew pleath, I dont wanna have to call a nurth to ethcort him out."

With ease, Drew lifted his brother and tossed him over his shoulder as if he weighed no more than his gym bag.
"Drew!" Adrian growled. "Why can't I stay?" HE asked Jake, hanging upside down over Drew's shoulder.

Jake gave a small smile.
"Becauth I want you to be comfotable and not couped up in thith hothpital."

"Well I won't be comfortable knowing you're in here alone." Adrian frowned.

"Adrian, wouldn't you rather be at the hotel, thafe with your brother?"

"No. If I did I wouldn't be so set on staying here now would I?" Adrian smiled.

Jake sighed.
"Drew, do you really think he needth to thay the night here?"

Drew shrugged.
"It's your decision. I'll take him home if ya want."

"Take him home."
Jake didnt want to be alone but he hated hospitals, he wouldnt want Adrian to have to stay in one because of him.

Adrian let out a whine as Drew nodded at Jake.
"Put me the hell down." He grumbled.

Jake waved Adrian by as Drew took him home.
At six the next day the hotel phone rung at Drew's room.
Jake had replased, something was wrong.

Drew immediately woke Adrian.
"I fucking knew something would happen if I left!" Adrian shouted, as he stormed out the door and back to the hospital.

Jake was in surgery, he had been for five hours. His condition was worsening.

They made Adrian stay in the waiting room but it was killing him. If Jake died it would be all his fault for not staying the night...

Hours later they came back. Jake was in ICU, he had to be on a ventalatior, he couldnt breath on his own, the kife had puntcured a lung and even knicked his heart.

Adrian worriedly asked if he would live and if he could go see him.

"We dont know yet. And just in case he doesn't we will allow you to go see him." The doctor took him to Jake's room.
