Guess The Feelings Are Mutual

Alex wasn't panicking one bit as Randy lifted him, preparing to throw him on the table. He knew Mike would help. Randy backed up with Alex in his arms. Um, hello? What the fuck was Mike doing? Maybe he was injured. Yes, that had to be it. Alex cried out in pain as for the second time in one weeks he was put through a table. He laid there, unable to move, and afraid even if he did he'd only be hurt more.
"M-mike...?" He murmured. Where was his mentor? Oh god, was Mike seriously hurt?
Yes, even when he was in unbearable pain, he was more concerned for Mike.
Alex whimpered once more as a large boot stepped on him. He managed to open his eyes and see Randy walking over him. He sniffled... and then he saw Mike, in perfect condition, only feet away from him...

Mike watched as his apprentice was put through a table for the second fucking time! There was nothing he could have done, if he would have gotten in the ring while Randy had Alex in his arms, he would drop him wrong and it could seriously hurt him. Mike had to think before doing, he has become less brash but he still itched to get in that ring and give Randy a piece of his mind. An animalistic snarl escaped Mike as Randy stepped on Alex. That was low and Mike was about to fucking loose it. Randy and he would be having a long talk about Alex and how he was to be handled but right then, Mike just backed away from the ring before walking back stage.

Alex watched in disbelief as Mike just walked backstage, leaving him alone, still unable to move in the ring. How many times had he at least attempted to help Mike in the ring? Whether it was with Daniel, Cena, Jerry, Randy whoever, Alex had ALWAYS put his neck on the line to help Mike. And Mike couldn't do it one time?

Mike stomped back stage and into his private dressing room.
He felt guilty but there was nothing he could do. He wouldn't mind letting Randy RKO him, but it would have hurt Alex worse.
"FUCK!"
Alex was going to be pissed.

Alex was pissed. VERY fucking pissed. This was what he got for helping Mike? He laid there for at least an hour before he could move and limp backstage.

Mike was waiting for him at the door. He quickly made his way to Alex and tried to help him walk.
"Are you okay?"

"DONT touch me." Alex snapped. "I made it this far alone I certainly don't need you help now!"

Mike jerked his hands away.
"Alex....calm down."
He knew he deserved this.

"Fuck off." Alex hissed and limped past his mentor, straight to the shower.

Mike's face fell as he quickly stripped and followed Alex.
"I know I was...."
He was not wrong, but he was sorry.

Alex stripped down and growled when he saw Mike.
"Must you follow me?" He snapped.

"Yes damnit!" Mike snapped right back, he was sorry but Alex was not going to yell at him like that.

"GEt your damn shower, I'll get mine when you're done!" Alex exclaimed, angrily pulling his clothes back on.

"Alex God damn, calm your ass down."
Mike undressed him as hard as he could.

"NO! How dare you tell me to calm down! I put my neck on the line week after painful fucking weak trying to help your ass! And the one week I need it you do NOTHING!" Alex screamed.

Mike flinched back away from Alex.
"You don't understand......"

"You're right! I don't understand! I don't understand how you can't help someone you claim to love! I don't understand how you could stand by and watch me put through a table. Maybe you don't love me as much as I thought!" Alex muttered and turned on the water. He stepped in the shower and tugged the curtain shut.

Mike sighed and left the room. Alex was right, he was an asshole but he cared more for Alex than himself.
Now off to find Orton.

Alx laughed bitterly. Yep, just walk away, walk away like he did tonight.

Mike did walk off but he came back later with a bloodied nose and split lip. Mike had gotten in a fight with Randy over his former rookie.

Alex was lying on the bed, wide awake. But when Mike caem in he pretended to be sleeping.

Mike sighed and leaned down, gently kissing Alex's cheek.
'I love you, I wanted to help....But if I would have run up there he would have dropped you wrong and it really would have hurt you....I couldn't...." Mike shook his head and went to go wash his face.

Alex grumbled under his breath.
"Not if you would have gotten i there the second he looked at me like that. Everyone knew what he was doing..."

Mike paused and shook his head.
"No...then he would have rushed trying to do that to you and it would have the same result. If you don't want to come out and help me anymore then fine, I dont blame you....But I was thinking of you, not me, you."

"Mhm. And that's why you left me to look like an ass, lying there. Instead of helping me walk backstage..."
