By the time Chris came out, he was calm enough to try and help with the funeral.

Mike felt hoirrble for Chris, he was all alone now...

Chris hated it... hated going back to what he'd been before he met Dustin. He found himself going back to the day he and Dustin met a lot. Not their real first meeting when they hated each other but when Dustin had helped Chris out, taken him in.
He was so sweet. What had he done to deserve this?

Mike arranged a funeral, set it up for next week. He had Dustins kids making sure their mother was taken care of, Kelton spent a lot of time with him now days, not wanting him to be lonely like he had so many years ago...

Chris loved being closer to Kelton. He just wished Dustin didn't have to die for this to happen.

Kelton sighed softly, he was helping his mother cook.
"How you feel today?" He asked softly, taking a draw off his cigarette.

"Wonderful." Chris sighed sarcastically. Before he'd even realized, he'd made an extra plate of food for Dustin..

Kelton said nothing, taking the plate and sitting it at the head of the table where his father always sat. It was sad...no one dared sit in that chair.
Dustin was the last one to sit in it.

Chris sighed as he looked back at it.
"Thank you for helping me Kelton..."

"Your welcome momma." The boy, had a cigarette between his lips, leaning against the table as he took a few draws off of it.

Chris finished making plates for everyone. By everyone he meant himself, Kelton, Cade, Lance, Riley, Devin and Lane. They'd been staying here since Dustin died...
He sat them around the table then called out to everyone that the food was finished. He sat to the right of the empty chair which was where his husband always sat...

Lane looked at the empty place with a frown.
"Well hell...This is depressing, someone either sit there or do something with that. Dont make yourselves miserable boys."

Devin sighed at his lover.
"You're probably rightbut... no one wants to be the one to sit there." He frowned lightly.

Lane glanced at him funny.
"Alex-..."
He felt something like stab him in the rib cage but when he looked down.
Nothing.
The hell?
Dustin had warned him about that..."

"Thats not his name." Chris spoke up. It was possibly the loudest he'd been sicne Dustin died.
Dustin wasn't there to make Lane be good so he had to do as much as he could.

Lance didn't even look at him.
"Chris. Your not Dustin. Dont try to be...I think that dead bastard just poked me though, that fucking hurt." He rubbed his rib cage.

Chris blinked.
"You're right. Gotta try though." He moved his food around the plate with his fork, not eating any.

Lane glared at that chair.
"Devin your father just fuckin poked me!" The scarred up man grouched, folding his arms over his chest.

Devin looked up at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Please don't joke yet babe... give it a little." He sighed.

"Im not joking! That honky tonk bitch poked me and it hurt." Lane shook his head, glancing into the air.
"Dustin, I have you know if I die and dont came back...im coming for your poking ass."

Devin drug a hand down his face and simply turned to his food.

Riley was twiddling his thumbs absent mindedly
He believed Lane...
The man had threatened to haunt them.

Devin wanted to but... it all seemed a little far fetched.

Riley was cowering lightly, watching Lane from across the table.
Yes they had better behave themselves.

Lance frowned as he put a hand on Riley's shoulder.
"Whats wrong?"
