Cowgirls Don't Cry.

Chris leaned into the warmth. Most people would have been freaked out by this but not Chris.. He knew this was his Dustin.
He read the front cover, then flipping the book open.

They were simply small notes, the newest one being written on the day he died.
Chris,
Honey I feel like today might be it and if it is, I just want you to know I love you Chris. You remember when your ready, if your ready you go out and you find someone else. I don't mind Chris, unlike Mike I don't worry about being replaced, even if you find someone else im a one in a life time kinda type of person haha. I am hopefully still going to be around the home, maybe as a ghost, ill leave if you want, just here to keep Lane and Riley in check and make sure my baby isnt hurting himself. If you do anything harmful to yourself I have this whole book written out to nag you for it. Im leaving my home, and everything precious to me to you baby. Ill miss you if I die, you know that. It wont be the same without my man but im still going to be here sometime...I dont think I could really go out like this. Anyways your calling me down to grab a bite too eat, speaking of eating if I ate you eat to, gotta stay healthy for our baby Chris, and if you need help with names, on in the book I have some baby names I like written out, once again if I can close out without tearing off into another thought just know I love you Honey.

Chris managed a small smile at some parts.
"I love you too baby.. I won't hurt myself. And please.. stay around as long as you want." He spoke into the air, hoping Dustin could hear him if he really was here.

And the man did , he blew the pages in the book.

"This is gonna get creepy as fuck. But I'm so glad you're here..." He sat on the bed, the book and hat with him.

The ghost seemingly pouted at him, knowing Dustin it was protesting on the creepy thing.

"Oh hush you." It was just like he was alive again. Anyone listening would think Chris was completely insane... "You know what I mean.. you're a ghost. I still love you though."

The warmth enveloped him once again as the ghost took him into his arms.

Chris smiled softly as he set the hat on the pillow beside him with the book inside it and finally let himself go to sleep.

The ghost sat with him, watching over him while he slept for a long while before deciding he was going to check on Alex.

Alex was at home, lying in bed with Mike but he was wide awake, a deep frown on his handsome features. HE had a photo album on his lap that was currently open to a few pictures of himself while pregnant. One of Dustin kneeling in front of him, hands on his stomach and smiling for the camera. Then there was another of he and Dustin together with the newborn twins... No he didnt feel anything for Dustin, never had really. But he did love him as a close friend. And having him gone... was weird. Everythign was so quiet without the redneck around.

The ghost stepped into the room, over to Alex and pressed a kissing to his cheek, all that could be felt was a lingering bit of warmth. The ghost knelled by the bed and peeked at the photo's.

Alex jumped.
"The hell...?" He furrowed his brow.

Dustin flipped the page in the book, his chin resting on Alex's shoulder.
He made Alex warm, hugging the man.

Alex cursed.
"You redneck ass... I shoulda known you'd scare the fuck outta me lik that." He murmured, smiling nonetheless as he looked through the album.

Dustin chuckled, you could almost hear his laughter, floating through the room.
Alex was special to him, the mother of two of his children. he along with Mike had been his bestfriend in his final days.

"Ain't it supposed to get cold when I ghost is here? You're fucking warm." Alex nodded.

A paper was dropped in front of Alex, and in Dustin's bland scrawl it read
'love'
Love for these people kept him warm.

"Ah. Awww you love me." Alex cooed mockingly with a chuckle.

The paper was flipped over.
"I do"
He did love Alex, he would keep him safe and protected like he would Chris.

Alex smiled softly.
"I love you too.."

The warmth surrounded Alex, Dustin happily also surrounding Mike, yes he had been mad but he forgave the now sleeping man.

"Its no fun without your hillbilly ass around.." Alex hummed

Dustin pouted at him, flopping on the bed.
He was aroundddddd
He wanted to whine so bad.

"I know you're around but you cant talk and annoy the hell outta everyone." Alex smirked
