Vanillia Twilight

"What was it like without me around?" Mike asked, he wanted to know more about his life.

"It was hard," Jeff admitted. "Everything I did, I always did with you," he added. "You were the center of my world."

Mike looked away, he could NOT believe he was jealous of a child. He couldn't help it though, he was everything, now he was thrown aside for the kid.

"I wanted to die when they told me you might not wake up," Jeff admitted. "I couldn't believe that the best thing that ever happened to me could be gone forever."

Mike sighed and muttered. "You had Hailey." Mike's heart ached...he wanted Jeff to hold him like he used to....Mike felt a little warmer, he could remember Jeff holding him....it was nice.

Jeff sighed, putting an arm around Mike. "It wasn't the same," Jeff muttered. "Not without you."

"But it can't have been that bad Jeffy." Mike looked up at the ceiling trying to make since of things.

Jeff sighed. "You have no idea Mikey," Jeff said softly. He glanced down at his harms, carefully covering them.

"Well, I was asleep and I don't know much. But when I woke up you were the first thing on my mind."

Jeff smiled. He was touched he had meant that much to Mike.

Mike leaned his head on Jeff's shoulder and intertwined there fingers, noticing he still had Jeff's ring. "Do you want your ring back?"

Jeff shook his head. "I have yours," Jeff replied. "You keep it."

Mike brought the ring to his lips and kissed it. Mike chuckled. "You know, since I was with Daffy and not here, I kiss this ring every night before bed. I was hoping it would make you know I love you or something, I suppose im hopelessly in love with you."

Jeff smiled. "I kept one of your pillows," Jeff admitted. "I cuddle up with it every night, I'm hopelessly in love with you too."

Mike grinned at Jeff. "Are we still married?" He asked, squeezing Jeff's hand and looking hopeful.

"I'd like to think so," Jeff smiled, squeezing Jeff's hand in return. "That's really up to you Mikey."

"I dont even want to leave you." Mike swallowed. "Even if I don't want the kid, I want you...I need you."

Jeff nodded. "Then don't leave," Jeff said. "stay with me, we can work this out, I'll help you get your memory back."

"The doctors dont think I will ever get it all back. Im lucky to be alive." Mike bit his lip, his thumb rubbing Jeff's hand.

"Forget what the doctors say Mikey," Jeff said, rubbing Mike's cheek gently. "You've proven them wrong once, you can do it again."

"I hope so......" Mike lay his head in Jeff's lap. "And ideas on how to help me remember?" Mike asked.

"Like I said, maybe some time in your old routine will help," Jeff said. "and I've got tons of photo albums too, they might help."

Mike closed his eyes when some thing hit him, something with Jeff's voice. "A song?" Mike blurted out. "Do we have a song?"

Jeff smiled and nodded. "Yeah, we do," Jeff said. "I used to sing it to you all the time."

Mike furrowed his brows. "Sing it for me please." Mike pleaded with big, ocean blue eyes.
