Vanillia Twilight

Jeff walked to the room, feeding Lily. "Hey Mikey," Jeff smiled.

"Hey......" Mike blinked at the baby. "Jeff, I dont even want Hailey. What is that." Mike asked. pointing at Lily.

"This is your niece," Jeff smiled. "This is Caitlyn's daughter, Lily."

Mike closed eyes eyes, laid down on the small bed, put a hand over his face, and counted to three. Mike prayed to God that this was just a nightmare, he didn't miss his sister having her first baby and he wasn't abandoned, and he didn't have a kid, and he wished it would all just go away.

Jeff sighed softly. "Do you....do you want to hold her?" Jeff asked softly.

"Not now....please just.....not now." Mike shook his head, he was waiting for Jeff to leave. He already felt the tears pricking his eyes but he was dont crying infront of people. If he was going to cry about it, it would be on his own time, while he was alone.

Jeff could hear the crack in Mike's voice. He left quick enough to put Lily back in her crib then went back to Mike.

Mike sighed a relieved sigh when Jeff left and let the tears fall. When he heard Jeff coming back he quickly wiped his eyes; thinking of a reason Jeff didn't need to be in the room.

"Baby...." Jeff murmured. "C'mere angel, let me help....." he pleaded.

Mike tried his hardest to smile. "Why dont you go finish breakfast?" Mike voice cracked with every word.

Jeff shook his head. "Not now Bright Eyes, you need me."

"I'll be okay Jeff, dont worry about me." Mike swallowed, trying to keep the tears at bay.

Jeff sat down. "I'm not going anywhere Michael, so you might as well give up."

"Please......not now Jeff." Mike didnt want the tears to spill while Jeff was in the room.

"Mikey.....you need me," Jeff murmured softly. "I'm not going anywhere."

"I need," Mike started. "To be alone." Mike now his lips quivered and his body trembled.

Fine," Jeff muttered as he stood. "You know where to find me if you need me..."

Mike felt small, he felt like the old Mike, before any of this happened, reaching out to Jeff for help but the old Mike was dead.

Jeff slowly walked into the kitchen, his head hung low. Was his angel really gone?

When the door closed Mike broke, he fell to the ground in a sobbing, trembling heap crying for Jeff.

Jeff stood in the kitchen, but it didn't take long before he turned around and walked back into the room, taking Mike's trembling form gently into his arms.

"I-I don't n-need this....y-you dont have t-to.." Mike cried, wiping the tears away harshly.

Jeff pressed a finger gently to Mike's lips. "Hush..." Jeff drawled softly. "I'm going to take care of my angel."

Mike sobbed. "Th-Thats all you ever d-do! Don't you g-get tired of i-it?"

"Never," Jeff murmured softly. "I wouldn't get tired of it if I did it for a million years."
