Rose Colored Glasses

Mike had to keep opening and shutting his eyes, his head hurt so bad they were becoming unfocused.

Alex laid down on the bed and opened his legs, gesturing for Mike to lay down in his lap.

Mike laid in Alex's lap, letting his head rest against Alex's chest, it was really hurting him now.

Alex stroked his hair, occasionally kissing the top of his head or caressing his cheek.

Little dots danced infront of Mike's eyes as he tried to focus on the moving and his lover touch. It wasn't working.

Alex grabbed the remote and paused the movie.
"Mikey, what's wrong? Don't lie, I can tell something's wrong."

"I was watching that." Mike hoped that if he ignored Alex he would leave him alone.

"Don't change the subject Mike." Alex frowned. "I just wanna know what's wrong."

"Nothing at all Alex." Mike answered, trying to Mike Alex leave him be. Mike was not letting up.

"Mike you... you're worrying me. You're acting weird." Alex frowned.

"Whats there to worry about? And how am I acting weird? Mike questioned.

"You won't eat, you're being quiet, you're not being my Mikey. The one I know and love with all my heart." He gave a small smile and kissed Mike's forehead.

Mike smiled. "Im just a little off at the moment, that all." Mike shrugged. "Nothing big."

Alex sighed.
"You'd tell me if something was wrong right?"

Mike bit the inside of his cheek. "If I thought there was a big problem I would tell you." But Mike didnt think of this a problem.

Alex sighed but he could deal with that answer for now. He lifted Mike and kissed him.

-2 weeks later-
Mike had lost 20 pounds, he was sick and weak, and it finally took its toll on him. Mike was holding Alex Jr when he fainted from dehydration and malnutrition.

Luckily, Alex was only a few feet away. He caught the child before he fell. He immediately set him down gently and knelt beside his husband.
"Mikey! What's going on?" He was going into major panic mode.

Michael Mizanin Riley was dead to the world, he only hoped is baby had not bee hurt.

Alex didn't even know what to do. Before when this happened, there hadn't been children to watch. He couldn't just drop everything and leave for the hospital. He picked up his cell phone and dialed 911. They would have to come here.

he ambulance was there within 15 minutes, the paramedics loaded Mike into the back of the abundance and speed off, leaving Alex with the babies.

Alex couldn't think clearly, he'd never let Mike go to the hospital alone and it was driving him insane. He needed a baby sitter.

Mike was immediately put in intensive care. The doctors but him on an iv and oxygen.

Alex went through the contacts on his phone, calling each one to see if they could watch the kids. Finally his sister agreed to come over. He waited impatiently until she arrived then drove over the speed limit to the hospital.

The doctors were talking about the condition Mike was in, and wondering what they call to tell about condition he is in.
