Rose Colored Glasses

"Let me." Alex grinned, taking the soap and beginning to wash Mike like he always used to.

Mike hummed, wondering why Alex was so dead set on not touching him. Was he ugly? Had he grown fat and unattractive since there last time. It made Mike to sick to think about it.

He leaned down and kissed Mike softly, it felt like their first kiss all over again.
"I love you Mikey." He couldn't say those words enough.

"Love you to.." Mike was worried, maybe he was just acting because of the kids. Maybe he didnt want Mike anymore.

"What's the matter Mikey?" Alex frowned. He could tell something was wrong with his lover.

"Nothing." Mike faked a smile and a laugh to go with it. Mike's eyes were alight with worry though.

"Baby, you know you don't have to lie to me. You can tell me anything."

"I know......" Mike trailed off, he wouldn't say anything. He didn't want Alex to feel he had to reassure him of anything.

"Well, if you want to, you know you can talk to me kay honey?"

Mike simply nodded. He didn't eat anything that night and only had 2 sips of water, Mike was going to lose weight and make Alex want him again.

Alex plopped into bed beside his lover. The children were asleep for the night now so Alex thought it would be fun to have a nice movie night. He held out a bowl of buttery popcorn to Mike, grabbing a handful himself.

Mike pushed it away politely. "No thank you..." Mike's stomach rumbled, he hadn't eaten anything all day and he had a headache from it.

"Ahh, I see, you want something sweet right?" Alex smirked, he knew if Mike was passing up popcorn he must just not want anything salty.
"Here." He tossed Mike a package of chocolate covered raisins. "Plus, I'm here for when you finish those." He chuckled.

"Yeah, thanks." Mike sat the chocolate covered raisins down in his lap. "Do you want them?" Mike asked, looking between his husband and the sweet.

"Nope I bought em for you cause i know theyre your favorites." Alex grinned.

"Yeah.." Mike hated it, he was so hungry and he didn't want to have to wake up later and throw them up. Mike left the sweets in his lap and tried to act like he was not starving.

"Aren't you going to eat, sweety?" Alex asked, brow furrowing.

"Nah, im not all that hungry." Mike lied, his head hurt and he was positively starving.

"Oh." Alex said. "What'd ya eat for dinner?"

"I forgot." Mike lied, he hadn't eaten anything at all that day.

Alex frowned but decided against saying anything. He put a movie on and sat back down.

Mike grit his teeth hit head hurt and his stomach growled. Mike put a hand on his malnutritioned belly and pretended to watch the movie.

"Baby, you certainly sound hungry." Alex chuckled. "You feeling alright?"

"Shhhhhhhhhh." Mike shushed his and pointed to the t.v like he had been listening to it and he wanted Alex to pipe down.

Alex arched an eyebrow but he shut up and turned back to the screen. Mike was acting strange...
