"Its great." Mike lied, only a few days earlier Mike had gotten a warning about how something could be wrong. He couldn't worry his husband though, he just couldn't so he would keep it to himself.

Alex smiled widely.
"That's good." He searched for something else to say. "So... how ya likin' the guns?" He chuckled, flexing his muscles for his husband with a smirk.

Mike laughed and kissed Alex's biceps. "I like the guns." Mike said softly, a sad smile playing on his lips and he thought of why Alex had to have 'the guns'.

"All yours." He winked, kissing Mike's lips softly. "I missed kissing you so much." He smiled.

"I missed everything about you." Mike kissed his cheek. "The bed is cold without you here."

"The cots are cold down there too." Alex wrapped his arms around Mike's neck and he never wanted to let go.

Alex Jr smile and pecks his mother and his fathers cheek's before he took his sister by the hand and led her back to there room, wanting to give there parents some alone time.

Alex silently thanked his son, he hadn't wanted to get too touchy in front of their kids but now that they were gone he kissed Mike deeply.
"I love you." He grinned.

"I love you to Alex, so,so,so,so much." Mike rested his forehead against Alex's. "I wish you could just stay here, in my arms...forever."

"I wish I could too baby. I never want to move again." Alex whispered, kissing the bridge of his husband's nose.

Mike wiped a stray tear away with the back of his hand. "Alex, im so scared of letting you go back. I know your scared too....I wish I could just take your place." Mike muttered brokenly, life was hell without his husband, his lover, his bestfriend.

"Better me than you Mikey. You're so fragile... you need the kids to help you stay grounded. You couldn't handle it out there trust me." Alex said gently, holding Mike to his chest.

"I know....and Im so sorry. I am trying to be stronger for you. And its not the kids that keep me grounded, its the hope that you will come home to me." Mike buried his head in Alex's chest.

Alex stroked Mike's hair.
"Well at least we have this time together before I have to go."

Mike hated to think that Alex would be leaving again so soon....or at all really. "Promise me you'll do your best to stay safe and come home to me."

"Of course baby." Alex kissed his head. "Ya think I'm not gonna try to protect myself?"

"Just.....remember that if you die I have nothing left to live for." Mike squeezed Alex tightly.

"You gotta live for the kids sweety." Alex said softly.

"No I don't.....they're old enough to find for them selves. Alex is at least and he can take care of Sydney." Mike wasn't worried about this new baby, he has lost so many and he already knew there was something wrong.

"Sweety." Alex sighed. But he knew there was no point in arguing.

"Can we just......forget for a little bit...play pretend." Mike looked at his husband pleadingly.

"Okay, let's make the most of these three days." Alex smiled sweetly, kissing Mike's cheek.

Mike grinned and nuzzled his face into the crook of Alex's neck. "Im so lonely with out you." He shivered, he had been cold all the time lately.

"Me too baby." Alex said, stroking his back. "At least you got the kids. I don't have anyone down there." Alex frowned, kissing the top of his head.

"Its not the same.....not without you. I just....alone if I dont have you." Alex may never understand that but that was how it was.
