SmutFest (Critter/Alex)

It was six and getting dark when Critter wondered into the park. It was beside a grave yard strangely and he had been there to see his wife and brother. Critter had went over to the deserted park and sat down on the swing set. He wand the as alone as usual and the chilly November air made his body ache because of the metal bolts and rods. He daughter was with Daffy so he was okay for the time being, he was alone to think and do as he please.

Alex walked into the cemetary. It had been close to half a year since Mike had passed away and he was slowly but surely healing.
He noticed a familiar figure in the park beside the graveyard.
His brow furrowed, and he squinted, trying to see if it was in fact who he thought.
"Critter?" He called.

Critter picked his head up and looked. "Hey Alex." He called out to his and waved.

So it was him. Alex gave a small smile and continued on his way, kneeling in front of his husband's grave.

Critter decided to go visit it Mike with him. He hadn't thought Alex would ever move on but he was. Critter walk up to the gave and stared at the head stone.

Alex felt Critter's presence behind him. He glanced up.
"Ya joining me?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I guess I am." he shrugged. "How are the kids." He had missed Mike...alot. It was hard to loose him.

"Fine, I guess."
Alex had hardly been home, he didn't take the loss of his mother too well. And Sydney had spent most of the past six months up in her bedroom. Other than going to school, she practically never came out.
"They're not takin' it too well. Guess I'm taking it the best."

Critter blinked. "I didn't figure you would get over him so fast......" He had thought Alex loved Mike alot more than it seemed like, he couldn't believe he was over it in only six months. Critter wasn't, he missed Mike.

"I'm not over it... not at all. Just out of tears." He shrugged. "Just feel numb now most of the time." He did. There was no happiness, sadness, anger. Nothing. Mike had taken all his emotions with him.

Critter sighed. "He was special, he really was. But I think he would want you to find someone else and be happy."

"He told me he wanted me to move on... I'd try. There's just no one to move on to." Alex said. "That made no sense did it?" He laughed humorlessly.

"Alex....." Critter sighed, Mike had asked him to try and get Alex to move on, either to him or Chris even though he hated that mans guts. "Im not going to beat around the bush with you....he asked me to take you when he was gone. Me or Chris, he hated that man but he made you happy and Mike knew I would take care of you...."

Alex raised an eyebrow up at Critter. Normally he would have been shocked but he didn't feel anything.
"He did?"

"Yeah, but it was so soon I wasn't going to bother you but......I don't like this. Your so emotionless it seems, he would hate it and I do hate it....." Critter was going to make an ass out of himself but it was for Mike. "If you want to try and be happy with....me then tell me Alex, he wanted it."

"I... sure can try." Alex shrugged. It certainly was an interesting idea.

Critter hadn't expected that. "Good,"he laid a hand on Alex's shoulder. "Did you come out here for any certain reason?"

"I come down here once a week." Alex glanced over at the hand. And for the first time in six months the butterfies in his stomach stirred.

"Did you want to talk to him? If you did I can go for a minute......" He would give him privacy, then if they had a chance he wanted to take Alex with him.

"Don't have anything to say at the moment. I come down here whether i want to talk to him or not. Just want him to know he's not forgotten."

Critter gave a small smile. "You really did love him...." He clicked his tongue.

"Ya think I was lying for twenty years?" He raised a brow, smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Critter laughed. "Maybe not the whole time, but im sure you had time when you just wanted to choke him." Critter gave a fond chuckle.

"There were a few." Alex smiled for the first time. Since when did Critter have this effect on him.

Critter laughed and sit down, throwing an arm across his shoulders. "He was a handful."
