The Mighty Have Fallen

Matt smiled and followed Sammy and asked "whats next?"

"I'm gonna check out the lab list and see which out we can knock out today." she said.

Matt nodded and waited for Sammy to find the list

Samantha started looking over the list of labs.

"which one do we do first?" asked Matt whating to get started

"How about this one?" she handed him a paper for the 'How to deal with a pediatric patient' lab. "I'll pick a case file and be your patient."

Matt nodded and read the paper when he was done he asked "ready to start?"

"Grab yourself a coat while I find a case file." she said.

Matt nodded and found a coat he still wasn't a 100% sure what he was supposed to do but he was going to try

Samantha smirked and picked up the file. "Four year old, insert partner's name here, has come in to your emergency room complaining of abdominal pain, sore throat, cough and a fever, you have one hour to treat this patient."

Matt stopped and began to think "well you take a temperature right?

Samantha climbed over onto one of the beds. "Don't ask me," she said. "I'm just a kid."

Matt nodded and walked over to the bed "i'm going to take your temperature."

Samantha pressed her lips together and shook her head. The key was for Matt not to lose his temper.

Matt sighed and asked "please let me take your temperature?"

She shook her head. "No," she said childishly as she could.

Matt almost laughed when he realised what she was doing "please it will help you feel better."

Samantha stopped and stood up. "You messed up already you know."

"what?"asked Matt worriedly

"You can't just come in and get to work when it comes to kids," Samantha said. "Remember when we first met, how Kiara was with you?"

Matt nodded and smiled softly he remember how they had first meet "sorry Sammy, can i try again?" he asked

"Go ahead," Samantha said. "Walk to the class room and then back in here and try again."

Matt nodded and did what she said. when he walked in he said "hello little one my name's Matt whats yours?"

"S-Samantha," the brunette shyly stammered.

"don't be scared Samantha, i'm going to help you feel better." said Matt smiling softly
