"Lead guitarist in a band and to be a bartender." He said without looking up.

Drew frowned.
"A bartender?" He didn't want Mike to get in that scene.

"Yeah, at this sleazy old club on the other side of town...."
The other side of town was the slums where people got shot every night and no one was safe.

"I don't want you over there..." Drew said softly. He didn't want to be rude but he would not have Mike's safety at risk.

"Im sorry Drew but they were the only people who would hire me." Mike said as he got to the door and stepped out.
"I love you!" He called behind him.

"You are definitely not going alone." Drew grabbed his own jacket and stepped out behind him. "I'm coming."

"Drew you can stay here, im not a baby..."
He would feel better, he didn't like that part of the town.

"Well then I am. I'm too afraid to leave you alone. Now come on, I'll drive ya."

Mike sighed but nodded and let Drew dive him to the club. It was very dirty looking....

Drew's nose crinkled at the foul smell of the club.
"Why would anyone want to come here...?"

"Drugs, prostitutes, cheep drinks, shitty bands and people all around they can rape or kill." Mike shrugged.

Drew shuddered.
"Mike..you really don't have to get a job."

"Yes I do now you can wait in the car." He took his things and got out, slowly entering the building.

Drew followed and sat in a stool at the bar.
"No way."

Mike shrugged before finding the manager and talking to him.
The manager was an older man, lean with his hair greased back. His eyes looked Mike up and down and his tongue poked out to lick his lips. Him put one of his shovel sized hands on Mike's shoulder.
"Well, you have the bartender job."
He was a little too close to Mike's face for his liking.

Drew didn't like this. Not at all. Didn't like all the skeezy people eyeing Mike hungrily.
