Be My Protector

Jeff looked up at Mike as the door was opened. "Baby," I'm so sorry," Jeff said as he stepped in the room and took Mike's hand in his. "I never should have done that to you baby, I never should have treated you like that," Jeff said. "I just couldn't take it Mike, I couldn't take seeing you in so much pain and being so powerless to stop it when I'm the reason you're like this to start with."

Mike said nothing and just hugged Jeff. Mike clutched the back of Jeff's shirt, pressing his face into Jeff's shoulder. Mike didn't care anymore, all he wanted was Jeff. He needed Jeff. Mike decided whatever Jeff wanted, Mike would say nothing of protest.

Jeff hugged Mike back, trying his best not to hurt the smaller man as he held him close. "I love you so much Mikey," Jeff whispered. "I love you so much."

"I love you too Jeff." Mike whispered hoarsly. Mike couldn't muster up the strenght to do anything more. Mike just wanted Jeff to hold him tight and never let go.

Jeff sighed, holding Mike as close to him as he could. He vowed to himself that he'd never let something like this happen to his angel ever again, not if he could help it. He kept one arm wrapped around his lover while his right hand moved up to brush Mike's cheek gently.

Mike leaned into his lover's solft touch. Mike wanted to just curle up with Jeff and go to sleep. Mke doubted he would get to sleep though, considering the damage that has been done to him emotionally and physically.

"Let's get you taken care of and then we'll call it a night hm?" Jeff asked. He could tell Mike was totally exhausted, both physically and emotionally. Truth be told, so was he.

Mike nodded, nuzzling closer to Jeff. Mike intertwined his and Jeff's hands, Mike kissed the back of Jeff's hand, ready for bed.

Jeff smiled and cupped Mike's cheek softly. Though the day had been long and exhausting for the both of them, Jeff had a feeling the experience had brought the two of them closer together.
