Be My Protector

"Shhhhhhhh," Jeff hushed Mike softly. "I'm not going anywhere baby, just lie still and let Sammy take care of you, she'll take the pain away."

"Y-you sure your n-not goinkg to l-leave?" Mike grit his teeth, the doc wasn't helping much.

"I'm not going anywhere baby," Jeff said. He watched Samantha digging through her bag.

"We need to get his shirt off so I can tape him up to keep those ribs still," Samantha said.

Jeff nodded.

"I-i don't want her t-touching me J-Jeff." Mike whined. Mike didn't feel safe at all, especailly not with some strange women touching him.

"Hey, hey now just relax baby," Jeff said. "She's a friend of mine you can trust her, you know I wouldn't let anyone hurt you darlin."

Mike looked at Jeff with fear in his blue eyes. "P-Please..." Mike begged. Mike pushed Jeff away, not trying to hurt him but in his condition he couldn't. Mike screamed in pain when his Ribbs hit the floor. Mike lay curled on the floor in a fetal position.

"Baby......" Jeff sighed. He ran a gentle hand up and down Mike's back. "Would you feel better if I did it?" Jeff asked.

Mike glanced at him and paused, looking back and forth between Jeff and the doctor. Mike nodded slowly, even though he didn't want anyone to touch him, Mike hurt so bad he didn't even want Jeff laying hands on him.

Jeff nodded, a small smile gracing his lips. "Alright then, I'll do it baby," Jeff said. He slowly eased Mike back into his lap, letting the smaller man rest against his chest. He slowly began to ease Mike's shirt off.

Mike hissed, wanting to pull away. Even the soft fabric of his shirt and his lover's gentle touch still hurt him. Mike felt tears well up in his eyes.

"Shhhh Mikey it's alright, it'll be over soon," Jeff said softly, tossing the shirt aside as he took the medical grade tape from Samantha while she guided him on exactly what to do next.

"Nuhhhhh." Mike groaned as he attempted to get away from Jeff with out hurting himself. "Hurts." Mike hissed. "Please.....don't touch m-me." Mike whimpered. "It h-hurts."

"Michael......." Jeff sighed. "I know it hurts baby, but have to let help you or else it's not going to stop baby."

Mike shook his head. "N-no.......It h-hurts...d-don't touch m-me." Mike attempted to crawl away but as soon as he moved, his ribbs stopped him dead. Mike curled on the floor.

Jeff sighed softly and ran his hand through his hair. "Mike you've got to let us to something," Jeff said. "The last thing I want to do is force you, but you're giving me no choice."

Mike glanced at him, a mixture of fear and dis-believe in his eyes. "Y-you would d-dare," Mike bit his lip, attempting to crawl away.

Jeff crossed his arms over his chest a look of complete seriousness in his eyes. "Keep it up and find out for yourself," Jeff said. "I'm going to do what's best for you one way or another Michael, whether you like it or not."

Mike narrowed his eyes. No matter how bad he felt he didn't like being forced nor did he like the challenge that was eing set. Mike slowly stood to his feet, glaring at Jeff all the while. Mike took 5 steps backwards, preparing to get away from Jeff if he tried. Mike didn't have the energy to fight.

"You're making this harder than it has to be Mike," Jeff said, standing up. "Don't you trust me baby?" Jeff asked. "Don't you know I'd never do anything to hurt you if I didn't have to"

Mike bit his lip again, drawing more blood. Mike was oxygen deprived, he wan't thinking clearly. Noramlly he knew Jeff wouldn't hurt him; in face he trusted Jeff with his life. But in his pained, hazzed, afraid, state, he didn't know what was what. He didn't want anyone to touch him. Mike took another step back, clutching his ribbs.

Jeff took a step toward Mike, keeping his hands up in a non-threatening way to let Mike know he wasn't going to try anything. "Mikey please," Jeff pleaded, tears brimming the edge of his green eyes. It was killing him to see the man he loved in so much pain. "Please, let us help you, if you love me please baby."

Mike was seriously scared now. "I-I love you.." Mike stuttered, still stepping back. "B-But I-I......I hurt, I don't want t-to be touched j-just leave me a-alone." Mike didn't want the doctor touching him, and he was torn between not wanting Jeff to touch him and wanting Jeff to take care of him and protect him. "P-Please."

Jeff looked down for a minute and looked back at Mike, tears flowing freely now. "I can't do that Mike," Jeff said. "See if I don't help you somehow, one of those ribs could puncher a lung and then......I might lose you," Jeff said. "And I cannot I will not live not even a second without you Michael Mizanin."

Mike turned and limped his way to the door. It was still storming out side but Mike couldn't watch Jeff cry, it hurt him worse. "Let me b-be Jeff." Mike turned to take another glance at the love off his life, the man he would do anything for. Jeff would be okay,but right now Mike was hurt and afraid, Jeff would be fine if he just let Mike be, at least until the pain wasn't so intense. Mike had his hand on the door nob, ready to face the storm again.

"Don't Mike," Jeff sniffled. "You'll catch your death out there," He leaned his head back and stared at the ceiling for a minute. "I won't make you do anything until you're ready," Jeff reasoned, "but at least stay inside where I can keep an eye on you, where I can protect you, like I couldn't before."
