Misfit

Drew's mother was sitting at the kitchen table, head in her hands. She didn't like Drew hiding things from her. She had tried not to eavesdrop but they were talking fairly loudly. She's caught something about Drew being weak and her having to press charges. She did not like the sound of this.

Mike sat at the table with her.
"Mrs.Gallows....This is hard to say but I need to get it over with...." He paused before quite bluntly informing her that Drew had been raped in an alley where he worked.

Her jaw dropped to form a perfect O. Her breaths became shallow. She ran a hand through her graying hair. Soon, she couldn't breath. Her Drew...

"Im sorry. Im trying to take care of him, he'll be okay so don't worry just let us handle it."

"M-my poor Drew." She managed to get out. Her blue eyes, which were eerily alike to Drew's swam with tears.

Mike rubbed her back soothingly, cooing comforting words into her ear.

"Mike... I never thought..." She didn't know how to handle this. She'd heard about teens being raped. She wasn't stupid. She knew it happened every day... but not to Drew... why did it have to be Drew?

" know what your thinking, why Drew. Believe me if I could have I would have taken his place."

"Mike, you've already been through this. I wouldn't ask you to take his place in that... I'm just shocked."

"Hey, I would have. Im used to being treated like that. He's not....I would never want him to know what its like."

"I just.. can't believe that. I didn't think someone could use him like that... hurt him. I mean, you saw what he did to his father."

"He was drunk Mrs.Gallows, he was not in a good way."
Mike rolled his eyes, he sounded like his mother when she tried to explain why his father was so fucked up.

She pursed her lips. She didn't want to yell at Drew now that she knew what he'd been through. But he should not have had alcohol in the first place.

Mike got up and excused himself but not before telling Drew's mother that she would do good not to yell at him. Mike was a nice person but if she was going to yell he would yell back.

She put her head in her hands.
What had happened to her son? Her perfectly pure, innocent, little boy who would come sleep with her at night when he had a nightmare?

Mike went and seated himself in Drew's lap.
"How are you feeling baby?" He inquired.

"Ugh." Drew grunted, then looked down at his boyfriend.
"What'd she say?"

"Not very well but I don't think she will yell or anything. I'll stop her."

Drew sighed, holding onto Mike tightly.
"I'm so weak... pitiful." He grumbled.

"No your not now stop that. Your amazing just the way you are Drew."
Mike kissed the top of his head.

"I let him use me like that... I didn't do a fucking thing. Did I even try to fight back?" Drew sighed.

"You couldn't Drew, you didnt even know what was going on baby."

"Ugh... I'm never drinking again." Drew sighed, clutching onto mike's back.

"wouldn't mind that, I knew something bad would happen. I told you to stay home."

"And if I wouldn't have come it would've been you instead of me." Drew said.
