"But you won't be able to sleep. I'm not blaming her but she's noisy. Baby's cry." Drew shrugged.

"Drew, I dont need sleep that bad. This is her first night away from the hospital, let her spend it at home."

"Baby, ya do. I can see it in your eyes." Drew said.
"Now I'll see ya after work." Drew slung the bag over his shoulder and pecked Mike's lips.

Mike trembled as he watched Drew get ready to go.
He couldn't stop him, he couldn't have Drew worry but he would be alone.
All alone.

Drew frowned at his fiance.
"I'll be back baby." He whispered and walked out to the car.
He strapped Paige tight in her car seat and sat up front.
To tell the truth, he was not supposed to do anything potentially dangerous. That included driving because he could get a sudden spasm of pain and crash. And a crash could be life threatening. But he hadn't mentioned this to Mike...

Mike let out a broken sob and curled into a ball. He was alone. He wanted Drew. He continued to sob loudly.
He wanted his mother.

Drew pulled up in front of his mom's house.
"Mom, can you watch Paige for a while? Mike needs sleep and he needs me."
"Sure thing darlin." She kissed her son's cheek as she took the bag and the child.

Mike had buried himself in the covers. He was clutching a pillow to his chest as he cried, and cried, and cried. Sobs shook his body as he remembered his momma.
She loved him, she really had. But she could not stop his father and if she said anything he would have killed her and Mike. Mike remembered her holding him after his father had hurt him. He remembered his mother trying to make it better for him, he remembered her face when he said he was leaving to live with Drew.
He remembered her dead corpse, he had to identify it.

Drew thanked his mother and was back on his way to be with Mike.
He couldn't leave Mike. Mike never left him...

Mike sniffled.
He deserved it.
He had left Drew alone to go work.
He had left him for two whole days to make funeral arrangements and what not.
Mike deserved it.

Drew thanked his mom and drove back to the house.
"Oh Mikey..." Drew sighed when he found his fiance sobbing.

Mike squeaked and wiped his eyes before peeking at Drew.
"S-Sorry, d-do you need something? M-My wallet is on the d-dresser."
He had gotten used to not having anyone comfort him.

"I came to stay with you." Drew said softly and sat on the bed beside his fiance.

"O-Oh......." Mike sniffled and settled down in Drew's lap. He had two hours before work.

"I couldn't leave you. You never leave me so I just dropped Paige off." Drew kissed the top of Mike's head.

Mike sniffled and then burst into tears once more.
"I-Is that s-sarcasm?"

"No, darlin'. You've stayed by my side even though it must have been a bitch to do so. Yeah, I won't lie I was flipping out for the past two days but I needed to toughen up anyway and that helped." Drew shrugged.

"I-Im sorry. I-I went up there and you were asleep s-so I didn't b-bother you."
Mike had just sat in the parking lot for a moment when he found Drew was asleep. He had been dressed for work so Mike had went to sleep in the parking lot. He woke up. He went to work.

"LIke I said it's alright." Drew shrugged, stroking Mike's back.

"S-Stop shrugging at m-me damnit D-Drew!"
He didn't want Drew to be all closed up again.
But he could not cry without him doing that.
Was Mike not allowed to cry now?

"Mike, there is not a baby in me anymore. I can go back to normal." Drew sighed.

Mike yelled in frustration and got up. He walked out of there room and slammed the door behind him. He could not cry because his momma was dead without Drew doing this.

Drew sighed and followed him.
"Mike, you want me to cry 24/7?"

"No damnit but I dont fucking w-want you holding this shit in and being like that! I-I cant cry without you doing that to me! Im so fucking sorry, I didnt wanna cry but damnit I want my momma!"
He felt so stupid.

"I want you to cry in front of me again! Can't things just go back to how they were before I was raped!?"
