Only A Match, Right? (Anyone)

Adrian smiled and offered to help Jake carry some of his things back to Adrian's room.
They walked down to the lobby and Adrian met someone's eyes across the room. A rather small yet muscular man stood across the room checking in at the front desk. Those eyes... Adrian would recognize those eyes anywhere.
"Yes, I'd like a room..." They heard his voice from the desk. That southern drawl... it made his blood run cold. The suitcase he had been carrying fell to the ground as his knees wobbled.
"J-jake.." He croaked hoarsely. "Leave... now. We need to leave. I need to get out of here!" His breaths became uneven and shallow as the man's head turned to meet his eyes. Yes, no doubt about it, that was Toby Benson.

Jake frowned and put the suit case he was carrying on the ground.
"Whatth wrong with you brat?"

"Just need to go... NOW." Adrian breathed, gripping onto Jake's shoulder for support.

Jake pulled Adrian to him.
"Why brat? Whatth going on? Why do we have to go?"

"I just...see someone I used to know. Now let's go please."

"Brat I might look thupid but im not, you dont react like that when you thee thome one you uthed to know. Tell the truth."

"It's him." Adrian whispered, turning away from the front desk. "The one who gave me the scar... one of the ones who raped me. Now let's LEAVE." He gave one big tug on Jake's arm.

Jake growled and pulled his arm away, he marched up to the front deask and took Toby by the front of his shirt.
"You worthleth piece of thit!"

Toby was rather confused.
"D-do I know you?" He stammered, rather frightened by the large man.

"No but I bet you know an Adrian McIntyre and he happenth to be a friend of mine."

A snicker escaped the Toby's trembling lips.
"That loser? Yeah I know him. Had a bit of fun back in the day."

Jake growled and punched the man his teeth bared in anger.
"You will pay for it, and you will tell him your thorry!"

"J-jake... leave it." Adrian murmured.
"I'll say I'm sorry to that whore when hell freezes over." Toby spat.

Jake growled and hit Toby again, not as hard as he could but hard enough to bust his lip

"You know he fucking liked it." Toby snarled wiping a hand across his bloody mouth.

"Mother fucker!"
Jake threw him to the ground, stradled him, and began throwing punches.

Adrian trembled as he watched. Toby tried to defend himself, only getting in a few hits.

Jake growled and threw Toby against a wall.
"Ill make you regret what you did to him!"

As he threw Toby against the wall, Adrian noticed the bulge in his pant pocket. He had heard rumors that Toby carried the knife he had used on Adrian that night everywhere with him. But he had never thought it was true but as Toby pulled out the switchblade he knew it was exactly the same knife that had been plunged into his own skin a few years ago.

Jake saw the blade, he swallowed but it was too late to back down now, he just stood his ground.

"Jake!" Adrian screamed out in horror but it was too late as the blade was jammed into Jake's stomach.

Jake took a shuddering breath, blood fillinf his mouth. He choked as he stumbled back and looked up at Toby.

Toby had a smug smirk on his face even as security was called to escort him out. Adrian watched as he was driven away in the back seat of a police car. The ambulance was called for Jake. Adrian got them to let him sit in the back by Jake's side.

Jake laid there, his vision growing blurry as he listened to the sirens.

"Jake I'm not worth this!" Adrian sobbed. He was so scared. What if Jake got seriously hurt? He pulled out his phone and called Drew. He didn't say anything just told Drew to get to the hospital as soon as possible. And sure enough he was there waiting for them when they arrived.
