What Next?

Zack sighed as he leaned into Mike's arms.
"Don't tell me shit like that and get my hopes up alright?"

"I do love you. I was kidding, you know this is.....difficult."
It was hard for him to love.

Zack sighed.
"I know. I just don't even have to think before telling you I love you. And I'm more sensitive than I like to admit..." Zack frowned.

"That's why your the bitch. And I haven't even been in love with anyone like this....Zack I have issues, im not normal."

"I know... but I'm hoping, with time, I can help fix some of them." Zack said softly.

"Don't try to fix me....im not broken...."
But he was and he needed it and they both knew it.

"Yes, you are. I love you anyways but you do need a bit of help Mike." Zack sighed.

Mike frowned and looked away.
"Whats wrong with me?"

"Mike, you said yourself, you're twisted." Zack pressed his lips to Mike's softly and stroked his hair.

"But is there really any help for me? Im not crazy...."
Mike was still pissed and ornery but he had come to terms with the fact that he couldn't hurt Zack anymore.

"Yes. You need to love. I think it will help. So that's what I'll try to accomplish." Zack nodded.

"I dont want to love...."
But he would never say why, he was already weak because he cried, fuck making it worse.

Zack sighed.
"I want you to love."

"No....Love make people dream of happy endings....Happy endings are just stories that haven't ended yet..."

"Mike, that's a lie. There is such a thing as a happy ending." Zack frowned.

"No, thats just a way for people to end stories so kids wont have to know the gruesome ending..."

"Mike this is what I'm talking about." Zack sighed. "Stop thinking like that."

"Why? Its all I have even known.....You cant just snap and change the way I think." Mike was way more complicated then that.

"I know Mike. But I'm going to try to make you love. I'll show you what it's like. And I'm hoping, maybe I can get you to believe in happy endings."

"Well why does it have to end?"
He didnt like endings....

"Now I may seem like it but I'm not that oblivious. Bad shit does happen. Everything ends one way or another."

Mike was about to do something he had never done, He turned himself in Zack's arms and his his head in his chest. Mike was scared, he was cold, and Zack was helping so Mike was comforting himself, and he was loving Zack in a way he never thought he would. He was fucking cuddling...

Zack held back his gasp. Mike was cuddling... with him. He carded his fingers through Mike's hair.

"Don't be so surprised....im cold."
And he was but he felt safer with Zack but those were things he would never admit and when he was well he would pretend this hadn't happened.

"I know you are." Zack kissed his cheek. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you spent all day outside when it was practically below zero." he said sarcastically.
