Meant to be

"Urghh my belly hurts" He mumbled as he tried to settle the unborn babies down.

"can i do anything to help?" asked Jay

"I don't know" He whined. He suddenly felt wet...really wet. He spread his legs before letting out a loud shriek.

"whats wrong?" asked Jay, as he quickly got up

"I-I-I My water broke! Arghh" He screamed, clenching his belly in pain.

Jay quickly moved getting Rayner down to his car, and hurried to get him to a hospital.

The pain was unimaginable. He could barely walk. The contractions were strong. He felt a small layer of perspiration form on his body as he was wheeled into surgery.

Jay sat in the waiting room worried, it had been at least two hours and no news.

The doctors sedated Rayner as they prepared to perform a c-section on the man. They pulled up a material barrier so he could not see what was happening. The doctors sterilised the area before slicing the young German open.

They opened his belly and reached inside, taking a hold of one of the small babies. They pulled the first child out, the girl, only to find out the sad realisation that she was a still born. They wrapped the child up in a blanket before handing her small lifeless body to Rayner, before taking her off to another room.

He felt tears running down his pale cheeks. His daughter had died. What about the boy? Tiny cries brought him back to reality as a small child was placed in his arms. His surviving son, Daniel William Reso. Tears of joy spilled from his eyes as he was stapled back together. He asked to doctors to send Jay in once he had settled into his room.

Jay hurried to Rayner's room, he had just been told he had gotten out of surgery. "Rayner." he said as he entered the room.

Rayner gazed over at Jay with tired eyes. A small pink baby wrapped in a blue cloth in his arms.

Jay looked at Rayner and Daniel smiling softly, then looked around and asked "where's Alia?".

Rayner let out a pained sob before cuddling Daniel, "Sh-she didn't make it, she was still born"

Jay's eyes water, Alia didn't make it. He walked over and sat by Rayner wrapping his arm around him.

Rayner let out a small wail as he placed a kiss on Daniels forehead.

Jay kissed Rayner's forehead softly.

Rayner wiped the tears away. His stomach burning. He took one of Daniel hands in his. "Daniel, beautiful Daniel"

Jay smiled at his son, his wonderful little boy.

"He looks just like you" Rayner whispered, stroking the small tuff of hair on Daniels head.

Jay smiled "Yeah but he has your eyes." he said.

"I...I'm glad I got to have him with you" Rayner said.

Jay smiled "Me too." then he desided to take a chance "I love you."

"I love you too" Rayner said as tears of joy ran down his cheeks.

Jay gently kissed Rayner, he hadn't been this happy in a long time.

He kissed Jay back, "I think this is the start of our family"
