"I'm... fine." He was more than fine to be honest. He was comfortable with Lane. The problem was that he didn't want to feel that way...

"Don't leave meeee." Rick chuckled as he hopped up and grabbed himself clothes.

"Do you regret me and you Alex?" Lane wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

Kevin crawled back into the bed laid down with a content sigh.
"I love you Rick Cameron McGuire..."

Alex couldn't lie. He automatically leaned his head on Lane's shoulder.
"No. I want to so bad but I can't." He sighed.

"I love you too Kev... and quit sayin my middle name." He chuckled.

"We never fought like this...."
He wasn't trying to screw up there relationship, he was pointing out some facts.

"No, you can't make me. I love your middle name, I love everything about you and your all mine. Sydney and Chris be damned."

"I know. I think we only fought once. And we didn't scream at each other. You just got quiet..." Alex thought soflty aloud.

"But i hateeee it." Rick whined smiling softly.

"I generally dont yell unless I need to. I get my point across without having to scream at people." Lane shrugged.

"I love it." Kevin stared at his ring, it was the kind every girl dreamed of having.

"Cause you're... you're you." Alex sighed. "You're perfect in every fucking way... it isn't fair." He frowned.

"I love you. So ya like the ring?" He smiled.

"If in so perfect, then why am I alone?" Lane looked over at him questioningly.

"I adore this ring Rick, you just don't know what it means to me....what you mean to me."

"I don't know. You're too perfect to be alone..." Alex sighed as he look into Lane's eyes. "You really are an amazing man."

Rick smiled.
"I think I got a pretty good idea."

Lane smiled at him. It was small, just a small quirk of the corners of his mouth.
"Then why did I get left for Mike?"

"Oh yeah? How?"
Kevin snuggled up to his fiance.

But just that small smile, made Alex's entire body tense up, made his heart speed up.
"Lane... he's Mike. I had to..."

"Because it's the same that you mean to me." He smiled sweetly.

"Why? You don't seem happy with him anymore? You don't have to do anything."

Kevin beamed at him and kissed his neck sweetly.
"No, You are the first and only person I have ever loved like this."

"I love him Lane.... I am happy with him..." Sometimes...

"I wish I could say the same but I've loved before. But I can say that you are the person I love the most."

"No, you are happy with him sometimes Alex....Something changed and im guessing I did it because before you were so happy with him."

"Seems so surreal.......You could have anyone you want and your with me...."
Kevin was not as doubtful as Mike, he had Rick and he was going to keep him.

"He changed. He's not the same anymore... i guess I did it when I got with you." Alex frowned slightly.

"I coudl not have anyone. I coudl have you or Syd. But I want you." He smiled.

"Yeah, you did and we both should have known better but it happened and I dont regret it. I love you."

"Rick, if you went out and looked, there would not be anyone to turn you down. Im lucky you chose me."

"I love you too..." Those words put butterflies in his stomach, he buried his head in Lane's neck, inhaling the scent that always found a way to calm him.

"Well regardless, I did." He smiled sofltly.

"Alex, you understand you left me for Mike right? He would flip if he heard you say that." Lane warned.

"I like to think you chose me because you love me and not because im pregnant as hell."

"I know..." Alex sighed. "But you don't want me to lie do you?" He frowned slightly as he looked up at Lane.

"I dont want you to fucking lie to me or Mike okay? You cant have us both, so you cant fucking say that shit if your with him." Lane was firm as always.

Kevin curled up on his side, one hand on his belly, the other clutching onto Rick's upper arm.

"What if I meant I love you like a brother, or close friend?" Alex said. But they both knew he didn't.

Rick smiled, rubbing Kevin's hair as he stared down at him.

"Alex, dont blow smoke up my ass. I not fucking with you, try that shit with me,."

"What? Do I have something on my face? My stare at meeeee?"

"Well Mike knows I still have feelings for you. I'm trying to stop. Btu it's not easy when you jsut told me you loved me."

"You're beautiful." Rick whispered simply.

"Im not fucking someone else Alex. You can't, so don't say that." Lane looked down at him.

Kevin flushed a deep red and turned his head away.

"But I can't help it." Alex sighed. "I'll stop saying it when it ain't true."
