Somewhere With You

Unfortunately for Alex, Lane opened the door in nothing but his loose, gray silk sleeping pants.
"Alex?"

"No....will daddy even give a fuck? He has Lane to go back to." Kevin bit his lip worriedly.

Alex's stomach did a backflip as he walked inside.
"Mike here?" He asked softly, looking anywhere but Lane's eyes.

Rick sighed and nodded.
"Of course he will Kev."

"No, I haven't seen him." Lane's eyes bore into Alex's back, looking through him.

"But he has Lane...he don't need momma....."
But he knew his momma needed Alex.

"Oh. Goddamnit..." Alex drug a hand across his face, he felt his former lovers eyes boring into him...

"Kev, I talked to your father a lot more than you probably did. I know thats not fair but he just doesnt open up to you. He does need your momma baby. That's why he left Lane."

Lane leaned against the door frame.
"Fighting?"
It wasn't a question.

Kevin looked down, his chest constricting.
"Why wont he open up to me...?"

"Mhm..." Alex leaned forward, forehead on the wall. Just the damn voice...
He had to get out of here... but he couldn't move.

"I think it's cause he just thinks of you as his baby. He thinks you're too young to worry you with his problems."

"I thought If I gave you up you and him would be happy together?" Lane raised a brow.

"Im too young? Im his oldest kid. I might not age any more but still....I bet he opens up to Sydney." Kevin pouted.

Alex simply shrugged.
"He just... we fight a lot now. More than we used to." He sighed.

"I don't know baby. But I see his point. You're so sweet. Never want to hurt no one... always trying to help... so innocent. I love that about you." He caressed Kevin's cheek.

"Was he worth leaving me for?" This was Lane. He was not beating around the bush.

Kevin frowned and poked him.
"I hurt you earlier."
He hadn't meant to and he regretted it but he still did it.

Alex's breath hitched in his throat.
"Lane please... not now." Alex closed his eyes, that name felt so good on his lips..

"Well you weren't trying to. And its cause you're pregnant." Rick smiled, poking him back.

"I let you go Alex. Was he worth my tears?"
Lane didn't like to cry.

"With your baby...Our baby." Kevin beamed up at him, his grin giant and radiant; child like.

"Lane..." Alex sighed. "I..." He trailed off. Mike was worth anything. Right?

"With My baby. Imma have two babies!" Rick grinned.

"Alex. Was Mike worth me?" Lane wanted to fucking know.

Kevin giggled and kissed his softly.
"Okay, im not a baby so either you know something I dont or you have a kid I dont know about."

"Of course he was... he's the love of my life." Alex said through gritted teeth.

"You are MY baby." Rick grinned wdiely.

"You two always fought, but its bad now it seems like." Lane told hike\ knowingly.

Kevin beamed at him sweetly.

"It's much worse. For some reason, he won't believe me when I tell him I'm over you..." Alex said slowly.

"You're too adorable." Rick beamed.

"Are you really over me Alex?"
The question was simple.

"I am not, you just say that because you just fucked me." Kevin giggled.

Alex turned and his ability to lie melted.
"No..." He sighed.

"Nope you've always been adorable." Rick smirked and then cleared his throat. "ANd I did NOT just fuck you mister."

"You wouldn't be lying to me now would you Alex?' Lane stepped closer.

"I enjoy hearing you say that. It means alot to me baby, you just don't know." Kevin could just go to sleep right there.

"Step back... please." Alex shut his eyes again, his chest constricting. "No I'm not lying."

"Well you mean a lot to me. Now I don't wanna fall asleep in the kitchen so let's go up to the bedroom."

Lane shrugged and stepped back like he was instructed to.
"Fine."

"Yeah, you will have to help me up though. I can't get up from here with my damn belly." Kevin smiled sheepishly;y as him.

Alex took a deep breath and attempted to keep his cool as he looked Lane in the eye.
"Well I'm leaving.." He said softly and walked to the door. The knob turned but the door would not open. He cursed and tried again. Nothing. He pulled back the curtain and glanced out the window. He had forgotten, it was snowing pretty badly when he'd gotten here. They were snowed in.
"Fuck!" He cursed.

"ANd I don't mind that at all." Rick smiled and lifted Kevin, carrying him up the the bedroom.

Lane sighed and shook his head as he glanced out the window.
"Looks like your not leaving after all huh?"

Kevin gave a squeal of delight as he was lifted, his arms wrapped tightly around his lover.

"Nope." Alex sank to the floor, leaning back against the door, knees to his chest. He shut his eyes tightly.

Rick laughed and sat Kevin down in the bed.

Lane sighed and sat down with him.
"Alex......are you okay?"

Kevin grinned but sat up to find some clothes for himself so he could redress and get ready for bed.
