Just A Number..

"I'm sure he is..." Zac nodded with a small smile. He meant what he had said last night. He was sure Quincy was a great daddy.

"I know your smart so im going to let you go and talk to him. I trust you baby so if he seems like he might hurt you I wat you home as fast as possible."

"I will momma. I'm smart." He smiled. "And I'm the fastest person I know." He chuckled. He wasn't strong. He knew he could never get away if Quincy got a grip on him. But he could outrun him any day.

"Well then you be fast and if you can't, scream bloody murder." Kevin kissed his cheek.

"Hmm so I have permission to go right now...?" He grinned, already eyeing the door.

"Okay but as far as anyone knows I fell asleep and you are in the shower."
He wheeled himself to the couch and laid down.
"Tell em Hey for me."

"Kay, I will. Love you momma." He smiled before jogging out the door. It wasn't the time they'd set last night yet. It was still a little light out. But Zac didn't want to be rude and just go up to the house so he walked to the park and laid down on his rock. Even if Quincy wasn't here, the park was relaxing.

Quincy was home but Aaron was at the park, he was on a swing. He sat their doing nothing but humming and staring into space.

Zac saw the boy. Looked a bit older than him... he immediately knew this was Aaron. He had brown eyes, just like his father's. Well they weren't as beautiful but still. He could tell. And then he looked sort of like Memaw. It was obvious. He eyed the boy for a while.

Aaron finally looked over at him.
"How longer you gunna keep starin at me."

"Til I got bored." He shrugged with a small amused smirk.

Aaron looked over at him.
"Ah don find that funny or amusin in any way."

Zac simply shrugged.
"Just thought I knew you." He shrugged it off and laid back down.

Aaron started his swing again.
He was bitter, his father was the best but his mother abandoned him.

Zac knew how the kid felt. Until just a while ago he was the same way. Bitter. So, so bitter. He'd just recently learned how to control it. But hell, atleast this kid had one good parent... he'd had none.

But Aaron got tormented and picked on for what his father had done, he was hated and discriminated against.

Zac simply shut his eyes. He wanted to start a conversation with Aaron but had no idea how.

Aaron was not going to start it, no one ever wants to talk to him so he kept quiet.

Zac simply frowned to himself, still searching for something to say. If he was ever going to get along with Quincy, he'd have to like his son too.

Aaron swung himself, higher and higher, he did this alot. He loved watching the sun set and this was the best veiw.

Zac glanced down at where he had laid his knife last night. He was going to use it and carve something in the tree but then he remembered Quincy had taken it.

Aaron let go of the swing, jumping into a tree and laying down, a leg hanging from the side.

Zac swung his legs off of the rock and stood. He was bored. And he figured his 'shower' was running a little too long.

Aaron watched for a moment before going back to ignoring him.

Zac sighed, stretchign before wakling off and quietly into the house.
