Sweet Misery You Caused Me

Cody wasn't sleeping very well that night. He was starting to get worried about his younger lover. For the past few weeks he'd noticed things seemed to be off about Brett, but every time he asked him about it he got the say answer "It's nothing baby-boy really," Brett would say. Cody really wanted to believe him, but something was stopping him. When he was awoken at 2 o' clock that morning by a strange sound in the bathroom, he realized exactly what it was that was stopping him from believing the younger man. "upon investigation into the source of the sound Cody found his young lover bare chested and hunched over the toilet bowl, retching. Almost instantly he got down onto the floor next to Brett and gently rubbed his back, his free hand drifting to the ill man's sweat soaked forehead, wincing at the amount of heat he found there. "It'th alright baby," Cody lisped softly "Ju-th-t breathe through it, I'm right here."

Brett took a deep breath before throwing up again.

Cody rubbed gentle circles on Brett's back. "S'okay baby," Cody whispered softly. "Just breathe, s'okay."

Brett just sat there panting softly as he finished throwing up.

As soon as Brett had finished emptying the contents of his stomach into the toilet, Cody reach up and flushed the mess down before pulling the smaller man into his arms. "Baby," Cody sighed. "Why didn't you tell me you weren't feeling well?"

Brett just shrugged and leaned against the wall.

"Baby...." Cody said gently. "You th-houldn't keep thing-th like thi-th from me." Cody lisped.

Brett bit his lip "Sorry Codes i didn't realise it was this bad."

Cody picked Brett up and carried him back to the bedroom. "You get th-ome th-leep and we'll th-ee how you're doing in the morning baby," Cody lisped gently.

Brett nodded as he shuggled close to Cody.

Cody wrapped his arms around Brett. "I'm right here baby," Cody murmured.

Brett nodded and soon he fell asleep again.

Cody didn't sleep. He kept a close eye on Brett, just in case the younger man got sick again.

A few hours later Brett woke and ran into the bathroom before he throw up again.

Cody got up and followed him, repeating the process just as he had done before.

Brett whimpered softly as he finished.

Cody got up and grabbed a washcloth and dampened it with cold water. He wiped Brett's mouth before he rinsed the cloth and dampened it again and gently pressed it to Brett's overheated face, dabbing at his forehead and cheeks carefully, hoping to bring down the younger man's raging fever.

Brett sighed at the cool cloth against his face.

"That feel good baby?" Cody asked, massaging Brett's shoulder gently with his free hand.

Brett nodded "Yeah." he said softly.

"You wanna go back to bed?" Cody asked.

Brett nodded "Yes please Codes." he said softly.

Cody nodded and gently carried Brett back to bed. "If that fever doesn't come down by morning I'm taking you to the ER."

Brett shook his head "No Cody not the hospital."

"We'll th-ee how you feel in the morning Brett," replied Cody. He was in no more to argue right now.
