Randy nodded with a grin and quietly walked back into Destiny's room. He stepped over to her and plopped down beside her in front of the piano, waiting to see if she would talk.

Randy kissed the top of her head and carried her to the rocking chair Mia had mentioned. He rocked her gently back and forth, cooing in her ear.

Randy held her close, until her body went limp in his arms. Her soft snores filled the little room. He smiled and quietly carried her to the bed. He laid her down and pulled the blanket around her tiny frame.
