Somewhere With You

"S-Still.....I-I didn't want you so far away from me....I couldnt get to you. You were leaving and I was sinking.

Rick sighed.
"Honey I just needed to do that... I just needed some fresh air..."

Kevin didnt care as long as Rick was here now.
But if he needed to go then Kevin would let him....

"I love you honey... are you okay?" He asked.

Kevin nodded.
"I-Im okay....Y-you can go...."
He wiped his eyes.

"Maybe later.... when you're sleeping I might go for a swim but I need you now." He hugged him.

Kevin wrapped himself around Rick and silently cried into his chest.

"Oh honey..." Rick sighed as he held Kevin tightly.

Kevin sniffled and wiped his eyes, slowly regaining his composure.
"This honey moon is not going well..."

"No it isn't and its all my fucking fault." He shook his head.

"No....We have just not been doing to good. Maybe when I heal we can start over and we can fix it."

"It is my fault... but I hope so baby..." He sighed.

"No we are fine sweetheart." He nodded, giving a small smile.

"I love you Kevin..." He sighed softly. "You're lucky I used to be a lifeguard or I couldn't have saved you just now..."

"Oh well, I have died several times now. It don't matter anymore..."
He hiccuped.

"Yes it does baby... I love you so much. I can't stand watching you die..."

"Momma said If you died so many times you might not be the same when you wake up...."

"What? L-Like how...?" Rick was now terrified.

"He said sometimes you go back and live again as someone else. You will live and die a different person. You could wake up and be soulless....Completely blank and unfeeling.....You could wake up and just be...not yourself....or maybe you will wake up and want nothing to do with anything....lots of things."

"I-I.. NO. Fuck no. I'm not letting you die again. EVER." Rick said firmly. He couldn't chance that.

Kevin sighed, caressing Rick's cheek.
"Oh sweetness....It will be fine....Ill be careful."

"I won't let you leave me... I won't let you get hurt anymore..." He shook his head.

"Sweetheart you can't protect me forever...."
He would have to watch that, he could die easily.

"Yes yes I can. Why not?" Rick frowned deeply.

"Baby im sick.....I wont be as easy to care for. Momma said I might need surgery because having Rick Jr put so much strain on my kidneys I need a new one. If it dont work I will die...." He sighed.
